Representatives from two of the illest crews on the east coast touch down at Dubbage this week! Lets all show support and love for these ambassadors of bass music!





ALEX INCYDE (Hotflush/Dubwar) is a DJ and electronic music producer based in New York City. Striving to create unique and dynamic atmospheres in bass-driven dance music, he draws from a refined selection of dubstep, techno, and experimental beats. He is a resident DJ a...t Dub War NYC, which has long been the premier bass music event in NYC for the past five years. He also manages the Hotflush Recordings label, writes for Big Up Magazine, and hosts a radio show on Sub.FM. Alex's broad taste in so many fine forms of electronic music, paired with the rare ability to bring it all together makes his sets a consistently unique experience.



PANDAI'A (Bassic/Dubwar) Pandai'a is a Boston based DJ specializing in music across the low end spectrum. She is a co-founder and resident DJ of BASSIC in Boston, and a contributing writer and music reviewer for the SF-based culture magazine, Big Up Magazine. Pandai'a's sets are characterized not only by her discriminating selection of forward-thinking bass music, but by her charismatic presence as a performer and her hypnotic ways with the mixer.

Over the past two years she has performed at the legendary Dub War NYC and across the US alongside an eclectic range of artists- among them, the Glitch Mob, Caspa, Headhunter, Joe Nice, Incyde and Dave Q, Eliot Lipp, Lazer Sword, Starkey, Distance and Cyrus, and Telefon Tel Aviv.

THE SPIT BROTHERS

BAKIR & DUBSWORTH (DUBS ALIVE RECORDS/San Francisco, CA)

Bakir and Dubsworth came together in 2005 with their common backgrounds in instrumental performance and music production to form the San Francisco based sound system band, The Spit Brothers. The group incorporates elements of dub, bass music, afro-beat, rock and electronica into their repertoire. Their live set is a combination of improvised and sequenced moments created through loop manipulation and re-arrangement, dub fading, and both producers also perform on several instruments including trumpet, bass, guitar, drums, organ, synthesizer, and melodica. They have releases out on Full Melt Records and Dubs Alive with a full length album expected to drop soon! The Spit Brothers also co-own the record label Dubs Alive. The record label's concept is combining the sounds of sub-bass electronic music with live instruments.
