Went to a local psytrance/techno/house/dubstep party last night. I was there early and got to hang out with the DJs. Was pleasantly surprised by the dubstep selection (Kryptic Minds, DJ Madd, The Bug, Joker etc etc.) :D

Watching 5 mid-20s cousins watch American football while they watch them lose/win and I watch them whine and coach players what to do. Boys and their fantasy football. Worried they won't find girlfriends with weekend shenanigans spent with fam.

Me watching players asses shake and pig out on homecook meals.

I'll treat myself to 250mg of codeine and a bifta in bed once a week. I'll set a timer on my telly for when I inevitably fall asleep without realising :w:

You know benga and skream will probably play skrillex and doctor P right?
I meant that we are going to drop their tunes.
There's no way we will ever afford Benga and Skream anyway
ah gotcha :W:

theres a longer video comeing but it's really the pre-cursor to a proper documentary about the nottingham music scene, which will hopefully be ready before the end of the year!

Mates have come over for dinner. I am cooking, and in exchange have received many beers.

I just recently realized how much many of his tunes mean to me, especially Untrue and Forgive.
I'm probably not the only one who appreciate them though ;-)
Sparxy wrote:but when you're comparing him to someone like Skream, there is one fundamental difference. In 10 years I will listen to Midnight Request line and it will sound as sick as the first time I heard it. I probably won't even remember what "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" is.

Just wrote the landlord a shit-o-gram about the state of the flat in reply to a rent increase... always feels good.
