London Eye is cool, but you can get good views from pretty much anywhere high up - I'd recommend paying half the price, going round St Pauls and then climbing the steps to the Golden Gallery... awesome views AND a beautiful building to look around. The crypt is excellent.bassrael wrote:tourist question: is it worth doing a trip on the london eye?

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

Not the news, but the BBC's choice of a one-handed typist for the lead image!

A&E gives the best stories, my missus loved her A&E rotation
Re: things that have made you happy today
Yeah, gonna be amazing I think, just a bit terrified as I'm gonna see some amount of crazy shit haha. Only had mental health community, elderly long-term and medical and surgical recieving wards before, so this will be an experiencewub wrote:Liam92 wrote:Got A&E for my next placement WOOOOO!Mixture of terrified and excited if I'm honest!

After almost three weeks of chillaxing, I start work again tomorrow. New students, new colleagues, in two schools. A bit tensed, glad there's a party tomorrow night. Anyway, the happy part is that, I now work 7 hours a day, M-F, for 179 days a year, weekends, holidays, summer/fall/winter/spring breaks/off, plus a health clerk. Although it is $1,000 less than the charter school I was at which I worked for 9 hours a day, M-F for 200 days a year. The downside, I don't know yet. Oh, the assistant principle in one of the schools smoke. I hate the smell of cigarette [and cheap perfume combined]. I already prematurely judged him.
