Watching this '06 World Cup documentary makes me realise how average some of these teams are.

Argentina were shit though, they only had 3 chances themselves. But we were horrible beyond words. No balls, no initiative, felt like they just wanted to go home and enjoy their holiday.

If you had asked me beforehand, where do you realistically see us ending, I'd have said Quarters. Top 8 is really our place right now. But to go out like this without even putting in an effort really, is pretty stupid.

The game ended for us after 9 minutes. Wilmots had no solutions, the players showed no heart and had far too much respect for the Argentinians. And the referee didn't help either, blew the whistle far too many times;

Belgium was never a team. No plan, no ideas and horrible attitude not least from Wilmots. Some of the players are impressive individually and it can only get good imo. I swear half of them are super stnuc. Like Hazard, Mertens, Vertonghen, Alderweireld all deserve an umbrella opened up inside them.

Was only happy with one of those quarter final results (Holland) :(. Would have been good to see Costa Rica get further but I feel Holland offer me a stronger assurance that Argentina aren't going to make it to the final :lol:. I'm actually excited for tuesday though. Apparently betting £10 on Germany beating Brazil 4-0 would win me £610 - actually tempting :o. But seriously, if there is a Brazil vs. Argentina final then something fucking dodgy is going on :lol:.

I'm already preparing to cope with losing to Germany in the final and we are not even through yet.

Whaaa?? That's one of the most emotionally charged finals available! Brazil/Argentina would probably top it though.

Finals are normally a bit dull... the best you can hope for is two sides who REALLY want to beat each other, so it at least feels like a proper occasion.

I'm pulling for Germany/Holland anyway, with Germany winning in the end.

is probably the best of the four possibilities but still a boring match looking at how those two teams play

im hoping for brazil vs argentina personally. would really like to see brazil play the final in their home country with their fans.

like that brazil vs colombia match was fucking intennnnnnnsee. just look at that crowd. felt like a fucking gladiator match. two of the big south american powerhouses who are naturally rivals would make for a sick final match.

Germany and Holland would make a really good final, Argentina have been lucky to get so far in the sense that they beat the Swiss two minutes from time, have largely relied on Messi and took a lucky deflection for the goal against Belgium. They're still a great team though. And Holland have out of the four semi finalists been arguably the most attack minded. I see what you're saying tho
