hello all

i am indian, lived in london half my life, now in uni in maastricht, at the southern tip netherlands. been listening to dubstep for about a year now, though really intensely for about half a year. particularly into the deep/techy/garagey dubstep, like martyn, scuba, ramadanman, ruckspin and such. also been dj-ing a bit here and there, organising parties, trying to get a dubstep scene started here. theres a big tech-house scene over here, which makes the reception of dubstep a bit slow for some, but by now the big bass sounds are finally spreading out.

also love this forum

peace and love

Yo all, I'm Conor aka Zoobi. Been into Dubstep for roughly over a year now, been producing for about 2 months. Would mean a lot if you checked out my shizzle, I have 12 songs/ideas up on my Soundcloud. I'm generally obsessed by music and will probably piss some people off in the near future with my opinions. I'm 17, I love all kinds of dubstep and create all kinds of dubstep. Peace

Hi everyone,

Been reading these forums for a couple of years, and finally decided to join last week - not sure why it took so long.

The Exodus/DMZ dances in Leeds are where I first heard dubstep how its meant to be played - dark room, serious bass weight.

Digital Mystikz, Loefah, Skream and Kryptic Minds would be examples of some of my favourite artists, although there are so many good artists making so many good styles! Hyperdub, anything Youngsta plays...the list is long. Don't really have much time for the emerging new wave of mid-range orientated stuff, although I don't intend to be an outspoken hater on these forums!

I do mix dubstep among other things - originally started djing as a turntablist listening to craze, q bert, skully, DJ IQ.. as well as hip hop from the UK and US - Gangstarr, wu tang, jehst, klashnekoff...

I hope that when the time comes I can contribute constructively and eloquently here!

thanks

Hi. I just moved to Montreal, Canada where the dubstep scene is pretty big. This year ive seen Rusko, Benga, Flylo, and Mary Anne Hobbs. Theyve made me make the switch from metal to dubstep. ohhhh dubstep.... where have you been all my life???

i'm just a young producer into mainly breaks, jungle and liquid and trying to put all that in dubstep. hopefully i can get big enough to play my music on a huge sound system to lots of people. i also hope for a huge jungle revival soon since i was too young the first time around.

Sup people,

I've only just started listening to Dubstep over the last 2 weeks but a lot of the tunes I've heard so far have blown me away... obviously I've hardly scrathed the surface but I'm lovin' what I've heard so far :e:

It was Mt Eden - Sierra Leone that first got my attention and ever since then I've been lurking around YouToob trying to find new tracks!

Its going to take me a very long time to troll my way through this forum but hopefully I'll find somewhere to start... what I need is an idiots guide to Dubstep so I can start at the beginning and listen to the "classics"

I'm on the road to enlightenment, can I get an :z: !!

Peace!

LARGE UPS! :D

Appreciate the guidance!

hey everyone,

i go by dj the tornado. been mixing for 9 years, been playing D&B for about 5 and now dubstep for a couple. still primarily play D&B but love dubstep, as well, obviously. came on here to keep up to date on new tunes / dubs, to download sets, and to promote myself ( ). living in chicago i always attend the furthersound events and keep up with that crew. i also have my own D&B night every week here in chicago and am playing out more and more.

shameless promotion, here is my new mix:

yo everyone...

i like dub, reggae, dnb, jungle and everything in between,
so it wasn't too far off, to get hooked on dubstep...

every now and then i dj, but i mainly enjoy spending time in the 'soundlab'
finally after a few years of getting to know the gear, i thought it's time to put stuff out there and get some opinions.
so check out my tunes and let me know what you think....

bless
