Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
After seeing Inherenct Vice I realised I'd never watched PTA's Boogie Nights or Punch Drunk Love, so I'm rectifying that. Yesterday was Boogie Nights - jesus man, easily one of the best movies I've seen in a very very long time. Tonight is Punch Drunk Love. I've heard a lot of good things so I'm looking forward.

I haven't seen this recently, but stumbled upon it again when going over the work
of Max Richter: 'Waltz with Bashir'. It's a reconstruction of the director's
time as a soldier during the invasion of Lebanon. The narrative basically consists out
of these interviews he has with other veterans.

Duel - so damn good, I got this Spielberg boxset and it's paying off
Elephant Man - fantastic story, loved how different it was to Lynch's first one (Eraserhead) yet still really well made.
also started Twin Peaks to further the Lynchin'

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
I actually went through some of his films this week: Fallen Angels and In the Mood for Love. Now I have a man crush for Tony Chiu Wai Leung's character in "in the mood for love" lol. Currently have Days of Being Wild, 2046, and Happy Together downloaded.
Does anyone have any recommendations for good Spanish speaking films?
I've seen about 5 Luis Buñuel films over the years, but I want something a bit more modern. genre doesn't matter.

I didn't click hugely with Talk to Her but Pedro Almodovar is probably the most well regarded Spanish director currently working so maybe worth checking him out

Watched The Judge with Robert Downy Junior an Robert Duvall and also 'Whiplash' about that drummer guy. They were ok-ish at best.

I just accidentally made a mix of Nebraska without dialogue? How is that
even possible, there's only one audio track in the file. I guess something went
wrong and they have a malfunctioning 5.1 mix encoded.. coz it doesn't work in stereo.
