What's up guys.
I'm just a young American that fell in love with dubstep, and this forum has been a great source of information for me so i thought I'd start posting.
Props to all the producers keeping the sound fresh.

Hey
I'm Arek from Toronto, coming from a Techno backround for many years, I was inspired by Modeselektor and started doing my own research on dubstep. I fell in love with it very quickly. I'm looking forward to my first dubstep event which is happening in August at the Time Festival with Skream and Benga. Hope to see one of you there.
Peace

Hey everyone. Mike here from Alberta, Canada.
New producer, very ambitious, I try my hardest to get better everyday. (still at stage 1 though)
Living on my own and still too young to hit up shows. My love for the genre grows everyday as I expand my library.
That's all...

This. I basically hate anything with that "brutal electro" sound; it sounds all like HUGLAGHALGHALGHAL

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here
Hey all, been registered a while but haven't really introduced myself.
20 years old, from Swansea (just to lower the tone, *insert sheepshagging joke here*, leeks, boyos, butt, no I can't speak welsh apart from the stuff on the signs and "Rydw i'n hoffi coffi" THERE ARE YOU DONE YET). *ahem* Been into electronic music for about 5 or six years now, producing for about 3. Started out in proper experimental genres like Breakcore, Dubstep was cool to me because It has a crossover feel. I use Renoise for my stuff.
That's about it.

First things first I'm new to here so hello to everyone who visit's this thread and thank you for showing interest.
I'm Adam aka Sinister Source, have been making Music with Reason for almost 7 years started off just for a laugh and then started experimenting with different sounds while things got serious, started off making Dark DnB but then delved into making my own Dubstep almost 2 years ago. One thing I know for sure is that I can't get enough of Dubstep, to be honest I got kinda bored of DnB and wanted to try something different anyway here I am now still loving the Dubstep vibes and hoping that I can keep learning new techniques etc please feel free to leave me feedback always enjoy reading comments and advice:

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here
yo yo, 19years old dude here new to the forum, kind of new to dubstep, been listening to it for about 1 and a½ year now. expirimenting alot in fl at the moment, buying some 12" every now and then, planning on getting decks/mixer/quality speakers (as opposed to my 8years old speakers i use for the computer which is actually breaking my soul while listening, since ive got this huge sub in my room but isnt compatible with my lousy speakers) as soon as my economy allows me to do so.
so... yeah. favorite artists include: digital mystikz /coki loefah mala included \,
rusko (i dont really care about him selling out and all that crap, hes yet a badboy producer),
caspa (for those deadbeat, mindfucking, dreaded tunes),
the widdler (for just pure awesome and originality),
kromestar (for making such sweet minimal "dubby" tunes with a slightly different perspective of dubstep)
L-wiz (chill times...) and of course, Skream& Benga.
dubstep is always going through my speakers (except when im actually doing stuff in fl), i discover new tracks and artists all the time and i never get tired of the tracks and artists i really like.
my view on dubstep is, with a tune, be able to deliver a certain feeling. its not about making your basslines as "dirty" and "filthy" as possible (cough borgore cough most new dubstep producers cough) its more about composing the elements you can master in the right way to create this certain feeling. not just master the elements and just pushing them all out at once. just creates a tune without depth. ye enough moaning.
anyway, thought itd be time for me to go on these forums now.
cheers!
