i know it's been posted before, but i'm sure it's been a while for some, skip to 3minutes, mute your speakers, focus on the gun fingers dude. enjoy.
i'm sure Sonika could turn that process into a skrillex sorta thing
click play
lengthen the time it takes to skip to 3 minutes
pause the music
lower volume
mute volume
press play
look at gunfinger guy
Enjoy.
EDIT:
he has no problem calling his noise dubstep here..
um, also random, i never knew right until this moment that he was on the BMTH remix album.. haha.
he should've stopped after that remix, it was cheesy sounding, but honestly far more listenable than anything else he's done.
he's a waste.

I'm still waiting for the day that someone combines Nas' old tracks with Skrillex beats and calls it 'Skrillmatic'.

Re: Brostep / Skrillex and the Forum.
Here's skrillex doing something gay on stage here's skrillex skrillex skrillex skrillex skrillex skrillex this skrillex that... are you sure you don't secretly secretly, maybe way deep down inside... love him? Your like the dude who talks about their ex all the time in a negative light because you still love her.
This is all the exact same thing that happened to rap... De La Soul, Outkast, Nas, Gangstarr, DMX man these guys made real... rap from the roots, it was serious, it was deep it was dark, it addressed issues in society and it portrayed their lives... it was real fucking music. And then Lil John came, and Bone Crusher, Ying Yang Twins, David Banner and this was rap strictly made with the intent of one thing and one thing only... to get people dancing at the club and to have fun. It wasn't dark it wasn't "serious" or "real" they never shouted out to the OG's of rap it wasn't ANYTHING like original rap. They talked about money bitches and cars and hood shit even though they weren't really from the hood. This was early 2000's we were all in hgih school and we were like WTF is this? it's ruining the rap game look at all these fake ass white kids with sideways caps, subwoofers in their car, flashing gang signs and shit the biggest LOSERS at these shows claiming they know everything about rap they just listened to David Banner last week for the first time.
And guess what... the music was shitty, the mixdowns were shitty, the music sucked... But people got over it man because we realized that it's not made with the intent of being "real" or to recognizing the roots.... it's made for one reason and one reason only... to have fun and for the party... and #1 to make people dance. It's like music designed with a formula for dancing. And everybody "hated" it but we all kind of loved them as well because when we were drunk in big club we could get down to it and the girls got down to it and it was fun... and kind of funny. I think Skrillex's music is dope and I think it's kind of Hilarious. I can't listen to it without laughing like.. WTF just happened? This Kryptic Minds/Distance/Burial shit it's not meant to be for that. But it's all considered "dubstep" all the same even though they have different intents. Dubstep is blowing up, just like rap did and I see a lot of similarities to rap... It's like rapping but with bass and sound design and technology (it's dissonant, it relies on rhythms more than melodies...etc). It'll be popular for a very long time and branch off into new genres and shit. And Skrillex is the Lil' John... nobody really gave a fuck we we didn't listen to his music in our cars, but we didn't fucking... HATE him... I mean shit he go us laid. Other than the club we ignored him. And look at him now he's nothing lol.

Isn't that a benga tune?twothirdsmajority wrote:Yes, Skrillex is a good producer.Immerse wrote:i find the hate for skrillex among the dubstep community to be pretty juvenile. i dont particularly like his music, but each and every producer deserves respect for the music they put out. this guys no sellout, he makes music he enjoys making and has never claimed to be a dubstep artist. sadly, the media has tagged him as such, which results with millions of misguided tweens. however, music is music and for what it is worth i think skrillex to be a great producer. this board seems to advocate the 'do your own thing' message. is that not what he is doing? just my two cents!
But most of his songs aren't good.
Hell, i managed to recreate "Smack My Bitch Up" on Ableton Live and yet most of my productions are below average.
Just because you can play the guitar doesn't mean you can make a good song.

Re: Brostep / Skrillex and the Forum.
I think Audible Assassin has a point. Skrillex's music is just that, party music. I have never heard anyone refer to Skrillex as deep. I think the two can exist without people getting butt hurt.
