Seems like there was very little focus on actual team strategy. Germany didn't really do anything unexpected. It was fast compact pass play. Brazil even had huge trouble defending free kicks and corners.

ah well, the upside for Brazil is
that they are even better at organizing football events than they are at playing in them.
which should encourage some well organized rioting.

Oz 2-3 result vs Holland is looking reasonable

At least the Torres deal made some sense, this makes none especially considering PSG's struggle to comply with FFP. It's a ridiculous deal for them and incredibly good business for Chelsea.

Seriously I feel so ashamed of my club right now
Even before this match I was thinking it was such a stupid transfer but now... We might as well sell him during this same transfer window at whatever price to any club stupid enough to be interested... I don't wanna see this guy with my team's shirt :(

I can't imagine how many poor brazilian parents took a year's savings to go see this match with their child... sorry for the pathos, but I genuinely feel bad for them. :(

brazil players should commit public suicide out of respect imho.

Hahahahaha at last everyone cottons on to how absolutely dogshite David Luiz is.

Surely one of the most overrated players of the last 5 years. Got away with so much guff at CB with his 'passion' & occasional screamers.

I disagree to me he has shown he is ready to be become a huge star now. Ofcourse he did fuck it up this time, but anyone will understand Thiagos role in it all going wrong. It was a very good sign that he didn't boil over and get a red and yet still felt that responsible. I think it looks worse on Dantes part despite being a substitute.
Marcello is a joke though but for the first time this tournament I'm sure the atletico brazilians that should have been called up must be having a laugh.
Most of this should fall back on their tnuc of a coach.

No but Mourinho is a completely overrated tactician.

Agreed re:Dante (can't remember which one but I remember a CL match this year where I was just terrified by his playing - absolutely awful), another thing about yesterday is that Luiz wasn't really helped by his defensive midfields which were terrible.

Still, I can't help to think this is going to leave such a big impact on the Brazilian players. Maybe when they're back in their club they forget about it and move on, but I fear the trauma might be just too big to overcome for some of them. I can only hope David Luiz will not be part of these :|

he elbowed two people in the first half and went over the top against Muller in the second, him going over the top seemed clearly intended to get himself suspended for the 3/4 play off but he was too much of a fucking coward to follow through.
