FUCK. I've just been told that the electrics in my house are shockingly bad. Electrician can't even wire up a new water pump without doing some serious work. Suggests I should probably get the whole place done up while I'm at it.

the NZ way would be to put your man pants on and rewire it yourself.

He did tell me to go get another opinion too. I did know the electrics were a tad dated and was expecting to have to get some of it re-done at some point. Property's 80 years old, not sure when the last time it was re-done. Last owners moved in over 20 years ago, I'd guess that would be the most recent likely time it might've been redone. I have guys at work I can get another opinion from.

For 2 years now I've been studying something I really don't like or enjoy so a couple of days ago I finally decided that I want to quit.
However, as I'm 20 and still haven't got a diploma or anything I haven't really told anyone about this yet because I know that some people won't agree with me quitting again...
So I'm still not sure how I should approach this situation. It's just inevitable that people will get mad at me, but I also don't want to continue this if I really don't enjoy it.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

How long have you got left to do? if you only have like a year to finish it and emerge with something to show for it then I would say it would be worth sticking it out

I just received L.A. Noire Complete Edition in the mail, way earlier than expected. Gonna be the bane of my productivity. And I have lots of stuff to do! :|

True. But unfortunately I still have more than 2 years to go so I'm not sure...
Also, isn't a diploma quite useless if you're not planning on doing anything like that as a job later on? Because I'm not.

Another thing that's pissing me right off atm is the fact that this bloke next to me is showing all of these photos of hot chicks on facebook to his friends and is telling them that he's got several blowies and hand jobs from them in the past. But I just know that it's all complete bollocks cos the kid is butt ugly.

I was in the same situation or similar.
I had 2 years to go but got head-hunted into a permanent job.
Ended up leaving my studies because I hated programming.
Ended up becoming an engineer.

it certainly isn't useless because it shows you can apply yourself to learn something to a high degree. I guess it does partly depend on what you are doing, i.e. is is something with lots of transferable skills or not.

If you still have two years to go I would say quit if you definitely feel like that.

Can you transfer over to something else? For example a mate of mine recently transferred to do something else he enjoyed but did not have to go back to the beginning as it were.

the term hand jobs makes me laugh
also 'hand jobs' seem like a bit of a par when the only part of a girls body they are willing to come in contact with someone is the same non intimate part that is cool to touch dirty bus seats, scrub sinks with, clean up animal waste with
