Ended up becoming an engineer.
Exactly what my problem is here. My study is like 100% programming and I fucking hate it.
Wasn't expecting the study to be like this either, if I had known beforehand I never would've started it because I had no knowledge of all of this whatsoever. Never done it before.
Now in my second year and still understand fuck all of it.
icanicant wrote: it certainly isn't useless because it shows you can apply yourself to learn something to a high degree. I guess it does partly depend on what you are doing, i.e. is is something with lots of transferable skills or not.

If you still have two years to go I would say quit if you definitely feel like that.

Can you transfer over to something else? For example a mate of mine recently transferred to do something else he enjoyed but did not have to go back to the beginning as it were.
Yeah I see what you mean. You're right about that.
But there's this other study at the same school that I think would suit me much more, and I think that I can maybe arrange something so that I can start with the second year and skip the first. So that would be a great solution.
Just need to talk about this with some people at school I think and see if they would let me.

But yeah as I said above, my study is 100% programming which I'm really starting to hate right now and I know that I'm definitely don't want to do anything that involves programming for a living. So not sure if a diploma for this study would serve me in the future.

I did cobol and as400 - 3rd generation text based language
it`s soooooo shit

you had to compile your program for a day only to realize all the effort was to code a f-ing 3 row table

to make it worse, when I was studying 3rd gen languages, the rest of the world was on 5th gen already
and then I was told I`d only be able to get work in the US
3rd and 4th year were visual c++

But I could already read a book and learned c++ in 30 days from a book called, 'Learn C++ in 30 days'

Even at school the handjob seemed like charity... unless she's getting the lotion out and really going to town, she was just trying to stop you bugging her as quickly as possible.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

No clue what colour my cables are! But I do know they need redoing. There's a fair chance my fusebox is older than me!

I really need to be more hands on with these bits round the house.

I got a phonecall today: some guy at the travel company ACCIDENTLY cancelled my flights to Peru next week. they offered me an alternativ route via Atlanta, USA and said: "it´s cheaper, you get some money back blabla". I thought ok I wont sit next to my friends but I will get to Lima (maybe a couple of hours later as planned, that´s all). They appologized and hung up. Then I found out I need an biometric e-passport for the states. :q:

is there a ninja from Atlanta who knows someone at the airport border or knows how to ninja me thru?

(or does someone how to make an epass? :cornlol: )
