Not that I want Dubstep to be split down the middle, but I think creating a seperate section of the forum for "Jump up" and one for "progressive" would stop each thread mentioning 'jump up' turning into one big argument...and vice versa...

i think this pretty much sums up the thread. jump up wobble tunes are fun at first. then they get old. listeners generally either give up on the scene or start hating jumpup. so while there is currently an exponential growth in people interested in jumpup dubstep the growth in eyez down is linear.

definitely. i mean, i really don't listen to much of the party stuff but that doesn't make it any easier for me to talk to strangers about what kind of music i listen to.

anyone that jumps on this sound is a joke, and any reasonable listener of music that has ever experienced anything besides EDM should abhor this sound. go play this to some indie rock kids or hiphop kids and see what they think. then play some mala.

ironically its mostly the indierock and edm crowd that have been getting into the jump up stuff out here. them and psytrancers. i guess both hipsters and hippies suffer from a similar mentality that prevents them from enjoying anything they can't immediately recognize and label.

we can stop all this madness, all the madness with the wobbles, all the shit with dubstep. Its all gotten out of hand. I was angry before, And thats how tony gets sometimes, lets not forget i was in this game since 2003 when dubstep didnt even exist and everyone just called it grime step. Now youve got dj's like rob sparx touring the world playing what they think is called 'DUBSTEP'. Its not. Its actually breakbeat chaos. A chaotic form of breakbeat. The wobble is just a SUB-GENRE of dubstep formed in the midlands. What alot of people believe is dubstep is Mary ann hobbs dubwarz special. That is the only true dubstep because it was a war and wars are official.
