There is so much wrong with this sentence for me, there is so much great music out there that does get released infact the majority of music that we hear does eventually get released so what is wrong with these select few tunes that don't get released? personally for me I love missioning to these nights and hearing these special tracks that would never be heard anywhere else, hearing DMZ vs MZN for the first time in the dance was something else and knowing that only 3 people in the world have this track and being one of a significantly small majority of people in the world to hear this track on a system Justifies dubplate culture for me.
Some people just want, some people will listen

the way you chopped up my point uno...what's the point in debating with someone if you're only gonna respond to half of the point, and base your whole argument on it?...like i said...I would rather have a song on vinyl than hear 3-4 times ever...that's my opinion and i'm entitled to it...you act as if your memory of hearing those tracks for the first time and the experience you got from it evaporates the moment the vinyl goes for sale..what about those great tracks that did get released...has the experience of first hearing them diminished because you own it? you say what is wrong with a select few tunes not getting released? well i say what is wrong with wanting these tunes getting released? hw do you even know my favorite songs have ever been released? i doubt you're that arrogant to believe i don't have at least a little bit of a point...and people end up begging for these dubplates to get released anyway (loefahs midnight thread) and making threads so the songs don't get forgotten (quiddys stickyed thread)...

I agree.. give it a release..
sure.. tease us with it for a year or so(if you really feel the need to).. but why not release it?
I can kind of understand the whole dubplate culture.. but there is a point when it becomes a joke(for lack of a better word)
"hey guys, check out this awesome tune I made... But, in order for you to enjoy it, you have to come watch me"
no offense to anyone.. just what I get out of it

I demand a release or I'll sacrifice a small abandoned duckling to the gods

I quoted that sentence because I didn't agree with it but now you seem upset because of this? I didn't exactly take anything of what you said out of context and I didn't say that you were wrong I said it was wrong to me.
I already said that I think the track is quite similar production wise to the original so why would I bother repeating myself? Anyway My point was pretty much every "Big" tune does get released but there is just a very small amount of "Big" tunes that don't get released in comparison to everything else. Can you honestly tell me out of all the music this genre has to offer that there aren't just the odd 1 or 2 tracks for you that you are content with being only for the producer and hearing them only when you go to see them? Or would you be more happy to hear a whole set and not hear any exclusivity.
Don't get me wrong there are hundreds of dubplates that I would love to be released and I understand completely where your coming from but I feel that there are some that should just remain to the producer.
The Loefah thread is relevant because he's moved on from the 2004/2005 halfstep vibe and people think it will die out and never be able to even hear it in the dance.
Quidys thread isn't to remind the artists to release there tracks that they have forgotten, it's to reintroduce tracks that people have forgotten about or don't get talked about very much. There are a few released tracks in that thread you know.
I've repeated my point enough so Im done with this thread.
Remember you are not wrong nor am I right.

I agree with keeping this one on dub! If a tune has been rinsed by the producer, and then he no longer plays it, then sure give it a release. But Eyez VIP just GOES OFF when the guys drop it! I still can't forget what it was like at Outlook! If I had that tune myself, then it would lose that "specialness". I am a DJ myself, and I would love to have it, BUT at the same time... I would rather be heading to Outlook 2011, looking forward to that Eyez VIP moment in the dmz arena once again!!!

Sometimes DJs need to have that odd special signiature tune that is unique to them. They have plenty of other releases. Be happy with the original Eyez in your bag!

Kinda agree with this,we got eyez and that's good enough for me.Seen dmz couple of months back and eyez vip and night vip were two highlights of the night because you literaly won't hear anyone else playing them.

BTW quest played the VIP on his bbc 1xtra mix
audio here http://www.getdarker.com/audio/sets/que ... -22-06-11/

Now that other dj's have the tune could it possibly be getting a release?

others DJ's have had the tune for ages. Kryptic Minds dropped it in Hudds. The place was dead and so we were at the front. Signalled for a rewind and it happened! :D

Nah man, this one is for peak time in the dance, original is just straight vibes. You can't compare 'em.

The original works just as well as a straight banger, both versions are incredibly fierce.

joe nice prolly has it as well.

mala has made his views clear about keeping certain tunes in the dance only - it's a certain lifeblood of the scene, you can't deny it.

agreed, this is just one of them tracks that shouldn't see a release, as sad as it is.

since engaging in that debate earlier on in the thread i've had a change of opinion and agree with the rest of us...would still love it to come out buuuuuuuut i'm not fussed if it doesn't because mala wants to keep it a dancefloor special...
