The Thick of it

I've just discovered this, and am re-watching it. Didn't think it was possible to laugh harder at anything other than Blackadder.

edit- and you can find every series and episode on Youtube

New Girl is awful, and

prepare to waste at least the next 24 hours watching it Axe, I think I watched 9 episodes in a row when I first watched it.

It really is, even the attractive yet quirky chick (you hope to meet the likes of in your local one day), doesn't make up for how shite it is.
plus she's only relavant because she looks like Katy Perry.

Yeah, this guy knows. Great TV show, Armando Iannucci is a genius. If you've not seen it watch 'In The Loop'. Its a film follow up to 'The Thick of It'.

Been getting into Alcatraz since it started. Acting is pretty atrocious, the main bird in particular would have her trouble acting her way out of a paper bag, and the use of the fat bloke from Lost as a plot device is fucking jokes.

But it's got Sam Neill in it, the fit indian doctor bird from ER and ROBERT FUCKING FORSTER to make up for it. Storyline quality can vary drastically from week-to-week, but the way the episodes are constructed with the Alcatraz flashbacks are good, and I'm liking the way the overall story arc is developing over the first few episodes.

Bold statement. Might have to give it a go..
I'm about halfway through Rome, so it might be an unfair comparison, but honestly very little has ever had me fiending for new episodes than Borgias. My lady and I watched very little else while we worked through three series! Jeremy Irons is a great anchor for it.

The only killer is that the story doesn't get properly finished - Showtime pulled funding before they could make the 4th series despite it getting rave reviews all over the place.
