if he has his knees on my shoulders then i would most likely have enough room/leverage to sneak out the back (i've been pinned like that many times and it's not a very effective pin at all), he should have his knees on the floor but all the way up under my armpits, then it would be a lot harder for me to escape (not impossibe though)

well it's obviously pride which is leading people to misrepresent themselves and say they 'talk their way out of it'.
i didn't say that was the case, i said that even if it was the case it still stops you getting hurt and that can only be a good thing. most times all i've had to say is that it's been a misunderstanding and that i had no intention of starting any trouble, thats not the same as saying "im very sorry mr big scary man, please dont hit me"
