you're trying to bait people into arguing with you, and that is the saddest part of this. 99% of this forum is friendly. you choose not to be. in the long run, who do you think will win?
...not even, I'm just expressing my opinion and backing it up.
You sound like a 12 year old child.
NOT EVEN! NOT EVEN! UNFAIR! IM THE BEST!

because its an open forum, anyone can be a part of it.
if u want a regulated forum, go start one where u can approve everyone who wants to be apart of it.
dont get me wrong, i dont agree with dubmugga most the time, but banning someone who is just speaking there mind is not right.just ignore him and his posts, i dont think he is killing these forums at all.
just my opinion...

I had a question regarding beat arrangement for half step, I saw someone mention earlier to keep the bpm at 138 but half time the beats. From that I would assume that your basskick would be the first note and then you'd have your snare hit at 1/2 bar. Here's a pic: half step programming on the bottom and a normal simplified amen like(minus the shuffle after first snare) break layout at the top-

Would this be about right?

138 isn't a rule...
...just a tempo we record all our stuff at so we can line em up in acid and not have to worry about beatmatching, time stretching or pitching up or down
only crossfading...
but yeah i think it works out to 4 bars to a beat instead of 4 beats to a bar so you can run em at the same time and they still keep time...
... dunno if that makes sense cos we aren't classically trained, we kinda just feel the beat and try to keep as much space as possible in between and program them from the ground up using sampled hits not recycled breaks

it's funny that anyone bothers posting anything about music on this topic anymore! i think that we can somehow get this post longer than the breezeblock posting if we really try!

imho halfstep is much easier to produce and that's the main reason it is so popular among producers
