my 2nd newest dubstep is in my sig
here's my 3rd dubstep ever made Soundcloud
and heres a newer emotional hiphop beat i made Soundcloud
and here's a dre/eminem type beat i recently made (soundclick) http://www.soundclick.com/player/single ... i&newref=1
Most of my dubstep is just :q: but a few are good. Like I said, im a newb in the dubstep scene. I would also show you my newest but its for the sample pack comp so i cant share it yet.

That hip hop beat is actually pretty cool. The dubstep...well you have a long way to go but keep at it :)

To be honest, if we can get back on topic for a second, I thought this was a really good idea for a thread back when things were going smoothly. It's just gone off the rails a bit but we can still get it back there.

Perhaps the proverbial train was blown off course by a strong gust of irony?

Here, you post the most ridiculous, funny, stupid, ignorant, etc. comments that you've heard regarding music production.
Here are a few of mine:
A friend of my friend wrote:Electronic-based music takes no skill. Real music comes from shredding your soul out on a guitar
No doubt that takes talent, but come on! I'd seriously like to see your favorite guitarist krank out a simple drum beat on a computer within an hour
The same friend of my friend wrote:Autotuning is the same thing as remixing
Really? That's interesting! Now tell me who told you that lol
My friend Josh wrote:That's so stupid! There's no difference between the volume and the cutoff!
Oh ok
i feel like this thread is so ironic...

Guy: im not going to use reason anymore im just going to produce on massive
Me: ahh right u gunna use FL
Guy: no
Me: Cubase
Guy: no
Me: Logic?
guy: no just massive
Me: Massive is a vst
Guy: No it isnt u can produce a full track on massive just like reason.
Me: hmmmm Okay...
im pretty sure you could use the step sequencer and performer and essentially write a track in massive, you could also use various oscillators and performers for the drum sounds if you could add another instantiation. which i have never tried.

yes, but you would need several instances of massive and it wouldn't sound too amazing

Yeah no shit. On a similar tip, I can't mix. I can't do shit with vinyl but put it on and let it play but i've written tunes for fucking ages.

I had a good mate who tried to argue with me that you need to dj before you learn to produce. He was standing there infront of, and arguing with, a good example of how he is full of shit

"As far as I know, it's more the music of video game nerds. A lot of first person shooter "frag" videos feature dubstep as the music, and a lot of the sounds are sampled from games."

Just saw this on a random board and thought it would fit perfectly here.
