I've not actually checked out The Bug album from '97. Will check out that and some of the God stuff for starters, cheersultraspatial wrote:Have you listened to the The Bug album from '97? More hiphop kind of thing, collab with DJ Vadim if I'm not mistaking.leyenda303 wrote:I've still never heard any Kevin Martin stuff before The Bug except for Techno Animal. Can't get enough of The Dream Forger off Ghosts, even if that's a bit of an anomaly. Which alias/group that he is involved with would you recommend next?ultraspatial wrote:Godflesh, Jesu, Scorn, God (and other JK Broadrick and Kevin Martin related projects)
God - Martin's first project I think. Industrial metal with freejazz parts. My favourites are Possesion, The Anatomy of Addiction and Appeal To Human Greed. I'd suggest this first.
With Ice he started going into more of a hiphop direction, kinda like Techno Animal with The Brotherhood of the Bomb.
And there's Curse of the Golden Vampire which is more of a breakcore/noise kind of thing.

They ought to go all GWAR-CORE and start spraying the crowd with fake glow stick juice..."It's really cool to see glow sticks at the show, to see dance music culture infiltrating and becoming one with the metal community," he says. "At the last show, there was one mosh pit where they were moshing, and another with kids doing glow stick tricks. They were taking turns and shit. I think we've opened up a new style that both sides are happy with.
