Not sure what kind of info he can give production-wise. You can't really explain how to get that certain feeling his tunes have, it's just being himself imo.
Plus, he's admitted that he's not very technical about it. And he'd probably just say stuff like 'use your ears',etc. I read this interview the other day and I think you can get enough insight on how he operates and inspiration to make your own tunes more creative. http://hyperdubrecords.blogspot.com/200 ... -2007.html

Just to clarify, that was my quote you responded to (fixed it). Anyway, there's also the interview Blackdown did which is where my fish bone joke came from: http://blackdownsoundboy.blogspot.com/2 ... urial.html

Yeah the Blackdown interview with burial is SIIIICK. You get a lot of insight into his thought process - we might not get a lot of technical information in a Q&A with Burial, but we could glean lot of helpful compositional tips, which I think is largely overlooked

Considering the title of this thread, how much relevance do you consider your post has? From a logical perspective?

that's what this forum is for. A thousand people have asked and answered a thousand versions of that question and it's all been said. WHo the fuck cares.

I didn't vote in this poll, but regardless of the style of music you're targeting, please go for someone who you actually want to learn from. This isn't a fucking reddit AMA
its not to be a fanboy and say how much you loved xyz and "when will this dub get released" etc etc.

Who's got technical prowess, incredible mixdowns, far-out synth patches or complex rhythms, whatever, just as long as it's music writing, production, and/or engineering related

edit: im a retard i forgot the topic of the thread

I would've imagined that it only adds to his point, if Pinch has already done one, why would he do another?
