why would you think that? i doubt that will ever happen. i know from my experience in chicago almost every black teen i came across wanted to be some trap rapper and were always talkin about' goin in tha studio' w/ jerome or somethin ..-TraX- wrote:isn't everything trap nowadays? like, all of the pop mainstream rappers are gettin their producers to use straight 808s.
the ironic thing being the fact you think lex luger, waka flaka, gucci are the defining examples of trap makes me kinda feel the same way.Hypefiend wrote:why would you think that? i doubt that will ever happen. i know from my experience in chicago almost every black teen i came across wanted to be some trap rapper and were always talkin about' goin in tha studio' w/ jerome or somethin ..-TraX- wrote:isn't everything trap nowadays? like, all of the pop mainstream rappers are gettin their producers to use straight 808s.
edit: just saw "rappers" at the end of your statement. but from what i've seen a lot of "gangster''' if i could even say such a thing (american) youth want to be trap rappers and so the demand for producers is hi.
trap is dirty south but a little more simplistic i gess, it's been around a lot longer than what most people ,who started listening to it thru tnght&baauer etc, think.
not too long ago i asked this kid who i haven't seen in a while and is really into brostep (about a few years younger than me) how he was doin etc and what kind of music he is into nowto see if his taste has maybe changed up a bit or if he may be into something new that im into, and he mentioned trap,s o i replied back "oh like lex luger, etc waka flaka, gucci, chief keef(lol) etc" and he was just like "na man , baauer and shit like datsiks new swagga remix" that made me a little angry
