Re: Syria: War Starting Thursday?
I feel like emailing my MP to see what the crack is, or even ringing him.
Any ideas on what I should say? I kind of want to know what he knows, or is willing to tell me, then I can send him stuff and debate it with him and/or you lot etc.

Just ask him why anybody's maintaining the pretense of "humanitarian action" when 100,000 people are already dead from non-chemical attacks (not to mention how many other atrocities are ongoing across the globe that nobody seems compelled to address) and the Western powers are suddenly feigning moral outrage.
Re: Syria: War Starting Thursday?
Wouldn't they answer that chemical weapons are a particularaly painful and indiscriminate way of mass killing.....I know bullets and missiles are bad and in an ideal world no-one would use them either, but they arent quite as bad and setting a precident of letting people use chemical weapons without some sort of international response is not something anyone wants to do.alphacat wrote:Just ask him why anybody's maintaining the pretense of "humanitarian action" when 100,000 people are already dead from non-chemical attacks (not to mention how many other atrocities are ongoing across the globe that nobody seems compelled to address) and the Western powers are suddenly feigning moral outrage.

Being retired military, putting emphasis on RETIRED (thank God), I second this statement. It would be a really bad move for either Countries to attack they're biggest market.southstar wrote:Russia won't be attacking anyone and neither will China

If you can address the letter correctly, with solid evidence as to what actually is happening, (rebels do not have clean blood on their hands, and it has been suggested the US have actually been indirectly supporting), you should get a response.test recordings wrote:I feel like emailing my MP to see what the crack is, or even ringing him.

Russia has warmed US on going to syria. They have also send missile cruiser to the easter Mediterranean. There is a possibly of Russia ( and then china) to defend syria if US starts war.
US are asking for War World 3.
You can just ignore other super giants of the world and do whatever they feel like.

Re: Syria: War Starting Thursday?
I definitely agree that Russia would back Syria but a war with us would probably end up in another cold war situation. They have the bomb, we have the bomb, pretty much every super power has the bomb. I don't think anybody's arrogant enough to send one. Mobilizing ground forces against the US is only going to resort to sending missiles. Especially if US ground troops are getting killed by another super powers ground forces. With that being said, I think all of the super powers would come to a diplomatic agreement before starting a nuclear war. Even, or even specifically, the US would back down before a war with a super power were to happen. At least that's what I'm hoping. Hopefully rational minds prevail.nitz wrote:Possibly wrongDevilsindub wrote:Being retired military, putting emphasis on RETIRED (thank God), I second this statement. Not exactly sure what that means man tbh. Of coarse Russia is dangerous that's why they are a super power.tomre wrote:This !!!Devilsindub wrote:nitz wrote:Devilsindub wrote: Hopefully rational minds prevail.

It's all bull shit to be honest. I think the US finds excuses to play Sheriff of the world. Chemical weapons are just a loop hole to veto a nations sovereignty.Laszlo wrote:alphacat wrote:Just ask him why anybody's maintaining the pretense of "humanitarian action" when 100,000 people are already dead from non-chemical attacks (not to mention how many other atrocities are ongoing across the globe that nobody seems compelled to address) and the Western powers are suddenly feigning moral outrage.![]()

I think if the consider the bigger picture, iran will get involved with the syira war and then US will have an excuse to finally bomb them too and control sea, for the oil. I've read some real crazy shit about how the US have this all planned outDevilsindub wrote:It's all bull shit to be honest. I think the US finds excuses to play Sheriff of the world. I couldn't eagree more that the US has done a lot of things in an unorthodox fashion but I would be very scepticle on believing tabloids and other medias. There are a lot of conspiracy nuts out there.nitz wrote:I think if the consider the bigger picture, iran will get involved with the syira war and then US will have an excuse to finally bomb them too and control sea, for the oil. I agree, Obama wants to ride around over the heads of Syrian people on his golden horse that runs on diesel.
He is a psychotic maniac that doesn't care about people dying, in fact he wants to kill more people with bombs.
Oh and he hacks into your mailbox every morning so he can spy on you and get the latest news on free vsts.

I don't believe anything that the big media outlooks say, it's almost one sider and they alter the trust so the general public believe their hype.Devilsindub wrote:I couldn't eagree more that the US has done a lot of things in an unorthodox fashion but I would be very scepticle on believing tabloids and other medias.
