im pretty sure ive failed my dissertation

probably gonna hand it in a day late and get it capped but at least i know it will be a pass

What does it mean to get it capped exactly?

I'm having this conversation tomorrow, but it seems like the deadline for mine is not hard.
Probably not eligible for resubmission though.
Seems like I have to ask about all these things via e-mail, there's no documents I'm aware of.

Generally the maximum mark you can receive is capped, usually it is 40% or whatever the lowest pass mark is.

It's generally a bad idea, most essays even pretty poor ones do better than 40% unless the person writing it answers a different question.

omg its bullshit though. its a technical dissertation too and im only like 60% sure that the electronics and physics bits are even correct

dont have the time to scrawl through papers and journels to find out either

i hope so bad i get a pass. i dont deserve one but it would be nice to get my degree. ive smashed every other module tbf
