I actually got my tune out and pretty much finished bar a few bits I want to tidy up in about 5-6 hours of working over the last week... I want to just send it in tonight or something, because chances are if I keep trying to build on it, i'll end up remaking the tune 5 times and not sending one of them  ... The line between endless perfectionism and being happy with what you have is interesting when making tunes

I chopped one note out of one of the bass samples, think it was a B note, made a Renoise instrument out of it and that's all I've used. Most of the samples I've used have been the drums.

It's the atmosphere that I'm having a real tnuc of a time with. Them pad samples are waste.

to whoever mentioned the fine line between good enough and thinking too much is so true.. almost reached the spot myself, so the track should be done by tomorrow

(used MPC1000 and Audacity free software DAW for editing the samples)

Yea, I'd rather have had just the bass tone on a C for a couple of seconds so it could be looped. Something'll work out though

suppose that if your having problems with the bass, then maybe you should not put bass in your tune. doesnt have to be dubstep.

I'm about 1/3rd of the way done with my tune - i've been working on another tune more lately... big up renoise! its so easy to rework old shit on it. auan knows...

i know for a fact no one has destroyed them as much as me lol
I sent one through a mixer channel in fl with 6 lots of compression/distortion/waveshaping effects, then routed that to another mixer channel and repeat..then filtered it all down and compressed and distorted a little, yet again lol

this one is fun...i've gotten monitors and bumped out a bunch of tunes since the last one. i don't know why people are complaining about the bass...you don't need no synth to emulate the wobble, and you should be able to play the samples in whatever notes and change them to get the sound you want. got the intro and first two drops done...trying to figure out where to go from there. fast progression and changes on mine. probably be done with it tonight but going to have a few listens on a system before i submit.

Finished it last night but messed up one of the automation clips for a bassline switch in the beginning...luckily I have an old version saved and just going to jack those presets and call it a day. Fun one.
