Sunny and warm in here (oh well, about 6 degrees in plus) Lake is still deep frozen though, will take a while for it to defrost. Fishermen still present on the surface and occasional car still driving through - crazy people.

There's name for it in Finnish, it's called 'takatalvi', literally something in the lines of 'backwinter' - it means that it can basically snow for a couple of hours or days long after you think the winter is gone, for example in May or if you're 'lucky', even in June.

This may be the start of drought breaking rain in New South Central, in which case the hundreds of thousands, probably millions of peebs, that are lining up in the Phillipines etc, will get a feed of wheat next year.
