he never said that he said it rarely gets picked up by labels hence less exposure which i agree with
i've had more of my dancefloor wobblers get signed or have labels show interest towards than my deeper or more laid back 2steppy stuff

exposure/more money, whatever. Both shitty reasons to make tunes imo. Its no surprise dubstep is 99% the same old shite if this is the attitude of pretty good producers, what happened to making tunes for yourself? Surely this is the only way to make music which reflect you and stands out as something differnt from that 99% of the same shit?

I don't know where you are getting this shit lol. I make deep tunes, Deadly makes deep tunes they just don't see the light of day because the market doesn't demand those types if tunes. It is plain and simple. We also make tunes that are more marketable but that isn't the reason I make them. I like that sound too. It's pretty simple I am not sure why you are trying to stir the pot here. Troll?

Texstep, straight outta Austin.
In LA you've got Smogstep.
In Portland & Seattle, Rainstep.
In NY, The Big Wobble.
Little south here to Philly & Jersey and you've got Indubstrial.
Down to Bassmore, Maryland.
A bit further south, to our nation's capital, the District Of Martyn.

Pidge isn't a troll Ehbeezy, he's just making a rather valid point, though I think he misunderstood what had been said, or maybe someone misspoke. Either way it's not some beef.
Send me your chill jams, thanks.

well how else is the majority of people going to hear a tune if it's not on a label or getting play from a known dj for the most part
and vice versa my deeper stuff generally is going to end up in the hands of some labels i shop it around to, my myspace and the select few djs i give it to
and you're right about people making music for themselves first, hell i have a bunch of tracks i'm sitting on that only i or a select few have heard, just think you don't understand how the scene works with regards to styles and what gets heard by the general public, the whole 99% of the same thing is in the labels who sign the tunes hands, not the producers

not dubstep exclusive producers as many tend to also play a bunch of the west coast 80BPM - 100BPM bits too but there's a lot (Some mentioned already):
Antiserum
Mimosa
DJG
Heyoka
An-ten-nae
LayerZ
Nanda
Siren
Blackheart
Bassnectar
Kether
16Blocc
Sub Swara
Trillbass
Roomate
JusWan
Juju
Babylon System
6Blocc
Panty Raid
Single Cell Orchestra also just did his first dubstep track a remix of one of mine.
Kozee
Tom Burbank
Vaccine
ESKMO
Klone
Secret Agent Gel
and Canadians
ill.gates
Meesha
Subhuman
Sharps
Dr. Woogie
Phowa
Taal Mala
DZ
I still feel like I only just scratched the surface as out here there seem to be loads of really dope producers in north america doing dubstep at the moment.

Shift Dubstep or STFU
Seriously though, there are tons of people stateside that really are doing their thing. My friends in socal are really surprised at how dubstep is growing down there. Up here in seattle shift never ceases to amaze me. Hopefully dubstep is here to stay.

Dubsworth is the man.... One of the nicest dudes I have met in this scene
Him and Sam killed it after Skream and Benga the other night, it was too bad the club shut down cuz ppl were still ready to dance...
And Dubs Alive 3 is the shit!
NTRLD is comming up for sure too. Big up Double Drop!

Chango
Soccer Mom
Autopilot
I'm not sure if I saw those listed, all great producers
