Organised. We look tough to break down for once, but we're still giving too much territory away, no matter how much you trust your defense mistakes will get made when there's flair around.

Rooney didn't look sharp enough, but I agree with Walcott as sub rather than start.. his pace shows better late in the game... not that he had much chance to shine.

Young and Milner are my only real gripes... Ashley looks skillful but weak and isn't taking people on well enough, Milner still can't put a decent ball in.

Really could go either way with Italy. I'll see everyone at System AFTER final whistle!!

young and milner have looked shaky, Milner especially doesn't look good enough to consistently produce internationally

young obviously has the talent, he's just been in poor form

parker has been poor too, but you cant argue when he throws his fuckin face in front of every stray ball

pains me to say it but terry was mint, and Gerrard is finally producing performances for England like he does for England, we'd have been up shit creak today without either of them

Shame for Milner, really like him, but he has been ineffective. Young can fuck off though.

Defo agree with Walcott as a sub. You need somebody with some outstanding physical attribute late in the game, either tremendous size/strength to make themselves a handful and take the pressure off the starters, or someone with pure pace who can just tear a defence to shreds.

carroll and walcott are perfect for that

although watching carroll play football is one of the more painful parts of following the game he's excellent at being a big jumping tnuc

Finally a poule that I predicted perfectly :D Glad I didn't buy into the "France is going to surprise us, they are awesome'' crap.

Ibrahimovic goal looks pretty amazing, too bad I had to miss the game.

highlight of the game for me, hero. That one that had him reeling you could see him extend his neck so the ball would hit him plum in the face.

The stars are aligning for England's traditional semi-final exit to Germany, on penalties.

Don't take Italy for granted... we'll need a big performance to get that semi!

Plus, Greece are going to do the Germanss anyway... we'll get through the semi on a bye when Greece realise they can't afford to travel to it.

Normally I don't rate him but Glen Johnson has been really good during this group stage.

Looking forward to the Italy match, I reckon we can do it!

Hopefully Carroll will share his 'product' with the rest of the team, seems to be good for headers

All the goals so far in weird French CGI.

Yeah, the only upshot appears to be that there's now a bloke standing directly in the way of the TV replays. :|

You wanna know how much I dislike Sepp Blatter? I hate him more than Platini.
