Fucking student halls man. Another pointless argument that arose from a joke has split the flat. Again. An argument about men being "allowed" to hit women. I can't wait to move out, this shit is so fucking petty.

BNanni wrote:I completely understand what you're saying but for me, I decided long before I got my first one that I didn't feel I have to show mine all the time, I can cover them up easily if I need to - just personal choice. Also working in a hospital I get enough patients trying to stick their finger through or giving me grief about having my ear stretched (Especially older people), let alone having my arms covered in tattoos. I've seen it plenty of times where patients have refused treatment because a nurse has visible tattoos. Besides, I'm just going to stick with finishing off my back piece first :4:
What size are you (ear-wise)?
And I used to want to stretch my lobes and despite it becoming the cool thing for everyone in high school to do, the main reason I abandoned the idea was the issue of it being more difficult to get a job.
So, I ask you, do stretched ears have a big effect on getting hired?

12mm at the moment. Very handy pen holding size!
To be honest I take them out at interviews, but always ask them on their uniform policy at a later date. Nowhere to date has had an issue with it, most find it fascinating and ask how it's done/stick pens etc through it/comment that the wall looks nice through my ear.

In the flat we've recently being playing pranks on one another (freezing each others keys, tricking a christian into watching a "Foreign independent film" which was actually a porno (HILARIOUS) so earlier we were discussing it and the time 2 flatmates and I went to purchase weed came up and a female flatmate said she was going to phone police for "a laugh" at the time. I didn't really think it was funny and neither did the other flatmate who was with me at the time. We said chances are we'd get beaten up for being associated with the police being involved and my flatmate said he would have battered her if she phoned the police. She was p i s s e d off at this, majorly. I intercepted now and then, I don't believe in hitting ANYONE male or female to be honest unless absolutely necessary and she kept using the argument that men have the strength advantage over women who she insinuated were all "vulnerable". Any way, neither side would back down and it was fucking pathetic. Student life ftw.

You hate the petty shit now, but when you live in a house you'll realise how jokes halls is, living out doesn't compare IMO.

He seemed pretty serious, but saying it one thing and actually doing it is completely different though ain't it?
