Started watching Reign last night and Im not sure about it. On the one hand, im a sure for historical dramas. On the other, its wildly inaccurate in terms of costume and music. overall, its minor league version of The Tudors

What kind?

Tengen toppen gurren lagan for over the top crazy mechs
Image

One Piece (if you have near months of your life to spend on it as its like 600 eps+ long) (pirates)
Image

Berserk (Dark ages type war stuff)
Image

Cow Boy Bebop (space)
Image
Samurai Champloo (samurai)
Image

Space Dandy (crazy animation with bonkers scifi)
Image
Hajima no ippo (Boxing)
Image
need to have a think

Space dandy is by far and away the most insane of the lot, zombies, aliens, time warps and all sorts.
One espisode is him in a space grand prix and racing to become first he breaks through all time and space, becoming the fastest being in existence and the galaxy builds a buddah like religion about him then it ends :o

Hadn't heard of that; might give it a shot.

I need to crack into the later seasons of The Tudors actually.

Finished the first season of Borgen over the weekend. Utterly brilliant.

seen, storyline is fun etc but so much filler so annoying, really hate filler and tend to skip it

oh man great forgot about this, this and Kingdom are deffo on my list

started both of these and halfway through with each but they're not long so saving it for later a bit haha :D

not really fond of this type of stuff but will check an episode

is it the same as kuroko no basket ? Because that's ok but a bit childish + not so much character progression imho

been checking some stuff and found D-Gray man, Gintama & Sailor moon (lol) , checked the first 2 episodes of D-Gray & Gintama but didn't really enjoy me all too much. I like adventure, weird stuff (but well explained/layed out), drama, storylines in which main characters die too, really like progression/change...

Space dandy is made by the same people who did Bebop, to give you an idea of how out there it can potentially be. The animation is really good too.
Skip to 16.45 on this for an idea http://animefake.com/space%E2%98%86dandy-episode-1/

Ippo has been running since '89 in manga format, it rivals Berserk in how long its been running.

"D-Gray man, Gintama & Sailor moon " Ive heard these are like "Ok if your bored but abit shit really"

Id say Tengen then Berserk (old show not the films), that should last awhile

"D-Gray man, Gintama & Sailor moon " Ive heard these are like "Ok if your bored but abit shit really"

yeah was thinking the same thats why I came to ask(have watch an episode or 2 of gin/d-gray), man thx for the help, this will give me a month worth watching
if you have any more you can recommend feel free I'll add them to the list
do have to say I don't ready manga, it develops too slow for my liking, maybe I just read way too many comics during my childhood ^^

of those already mentioned, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann are on my all time favourite list.

Image
Ergo Proxy - mindfuck future utopia/dystopia stuff. Gets incredibly deep, sick character design and very nice animations. Highly recommended. My favourite anime for sure.

Image
Monster - japanese doctor living in germany saves a child and is subsequently suspected of multiple murder; events unfold. As with Ergo Proxy, this is a very serious production for a more mature audience. I enjoyed this very much, especially since it features (imo) the best "bad guy" in anime history.

Image
Code: Geass - OMG MORE PLOT TWISTS! Targeted at a younger audience, it's still very good. A bit of mecha, a bit of fantasy, solid character progression... I think you'll like it.

Image
Darker Than Black - ninjas from hell. Unfortunately, the second season is a bit shit.

+ all the classics. Neon Genesis Evangelion (watch if you haven't), Ghost In The Shell SAC ...
+ all the good, but overhyped stuff. Elfenlied, Death Note, Gantz ...

It's really fucking good... finally got round to watching it a month or so ago and I'm already nearly finished with Season 4.

The Affair, is surprisingly improving imo. The beginning was a little bit slow but right now it's picking up and it is very very good. Loving it
