2010 was still good compared to 2002 which was an absolute joke.

If this has been the best in ages then jesus the last few must have been boring.
You should've never given up weed. You're completely fucking joyless.

The group stage was good this time. Usually the first match in each group should have gone in a bin. But past the group stages this 2014 cup has been a complete travesty. Almost every match has been won in defence.
Apart from a few games where the favourites got through where they shouldn't have.
Except the one match where the hosts that have been shielded by the refs and the press all tournament, played the worst game in maybe all of the world cups after having complained about how they have been treated.

The brazilian team should be lined up to face Weidman !

Knockout football is always going to be more defensive than the group stages, that'll happen in any tournament, but there were only two goalless draws (both featuring Holland  ) and we still got *that* Brazil thrashing, *that* Holland comeback Vs Mexico, *that* Extra time period between Belgium and USA... honestly, if you didn't have fun, you need to see a fucking therapist or admit you don't really like football.

You are clutching at straws magma.

There's been one goal in extra time if it wasn't a penalty decision in almost every game.

Cups are rarely won by counters and five man defences.

Both chile and columbias matches against brazil where unfair and should have any fan of football crying their hearts out tbh.

Mexico got a goal disallowed and was better all game.
Hollands comeback was horrible to watch.

And almost the same deal with the Algeria vs Germany match.

Even Germany that are so proud of their new way of playing possession football insisted on setpieces and didn't really want to play ball and only put their arguably best player (Götze) into the frey for the last 15-20 minutes in most matches.

This has been a Mourinho/Van Gaal inspired cup if anything.

The positive aspect was seeing some of the more arrogant teams get served.

I really don't think I am, but carry on pretending you didn't enjoy the last few weeks if it makes you happy.

I'm going to carry on remembering I had an awesome time, because I did.

M8son, you are mentally unwell, but it's nothing to do with this thread.

Carry on, everyone.

I always enjoy the groups more than the knock outs.

Not long to go until the prestigious Emirates cup now at least :U:

The knockout stage of the World Cup is the best telly in the whole four year cycle. People always complain about the knockout stage, especially if their team loses or doesn't feature.

Especially given the period of the year it's on. June and July on odd years - without a Euro or a WC that is - are so shite telly-wise, the football withdrawal period lasts too long during these summers!!!

To me it looks more like he's lost his incredible speed, and he knows it, which is why he doesn't even bother to try.

He hasn't had time to recover from that injury yet and he still throws up from pressure in the matches. So I think it's a safe bet to think he at least has been playing when he shouldn't have.
Especially in the last few matches in la liga this season.
Maybe it has fucked him up for good. Meaning he won't score 45 per season
