I think Mala telling people he wouldn't be there was due to the pretty heavy implication that he would be there, as it was his and Vivek's night.

to be fair when V.I.V.E.K booked Amit bare ppl where moaning that they didn't know who he was or that he hadn't been involved with dubstep for long enough and tbh he fucking killed it so I wouldn't really say the length of someones involvement in the scene is really that important at all

I trust V.I.V.E.K will book someone sick for the next one, I think he was just trying to get a general idea of what sorta stuff people want

Nah that was inevitable on an FB status on a page with 2K+ followers. I don't see that happening just because of a bunch of Facebook comments, and anyway it sounds like VIVEKs already got a few ideas for next year that are on the same vibe (mentions of Dillinja & Anti-Social crew)

Keep the faith i'm sure the roots of the night will be preserved even if some new(ish) names are thrown in the pot

fair enough but that i weren't one of them ppl. i know amit's been around for the longest while so didn't complain (was just disappointed mala was a no show). and yeah amit tore it up.
