Hi, im Rustique and I like to produce musique cause it makes my tummy warm.
I dabble in various genres with in the electronic realm but my heart is with dnb/dub and experimenting with the close relationship between the two genres.
The content on this forum is rich, the people are friendly and helpful and the guides/tips/tricks are amazing, the mods/admins do an awesome job.

After a quick search I found this forum and I decided to register here because it looks like a really nice forum.
For anyone who's interested, here you can listen to my music: http://soundcloud.com/blue-screen
None of it's released yet, but if someone's interested they are always welcome to contact me!
Thx and Peace

hi guys. i produce electronic music under the name nettles in oxford, uk. i mainly make garage type stuff but am massively into trip / hip hop / and any other forward thinking music out there. ive tried different ways of making tunes in the past but have settled on using samples / live + field recordings over vst's / synths and stuff. also well into the mixing of bit rates / rawer textures with more hi quality ones. feel free to comment on my tunes with criticism / hate or love. thanks guys, looking forward to getting involved with this forum. peace x

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here
Hi everybody.
I'm a producer / dj currently in Manhattan, New York City.
I first started to really get into Drum'n'Bass around '99 and hooked up with the NUCO crew in Richmond, Virginia and helped promote parties, got turntables and started buying records.
I loved going to parties in the US (Buzz in DC being my favorite) and DNB weeklies including Direct Drive (NYC), Konkrete Jungle (NYC), Platinum (PA), Act Your Age (DC), Sunday Sessions (DC), Information Technology (RVA), Camp Zero's night (RVA) and Phunkatech's night (SF). One week I went to a different dnb weekly every night of the week (perhaps not a big deal in the UK, but some trouble here in the US). I ran my own weekly in Richmond called Render, mostly booking local dj's though I did get DJ Hidden and DJ-Over X to play. It was an eclectic night, sometimes with poetry readings at the beginning and Halo tournaments.
I kind of lost interest in DNB (and music in general), though discovering dubstep several years back when I moved to NYC really rekindled my love of bass and drums. Now I'm feeling the dubstep and even discovering some great new drum'n'bass.
I'm really psyched on producing EDM and getting booked to play out. It seems kind of tough getting over, but we'll see. Either way, I love the positive and constructive atmosphere of the dubstepforum and the inclusiveness of the dubstep music and scene in general.

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here
In the last 2 months I've stared producing my own electronic songs, I aspire to be something big in music someday, I'm in a band as well. Got linked to this site from a friend of mine who casually makes beats. Right now I'm writing within the confines of genres like House (electro-y) and dubstep but once I'm more versed in everything I wanna meld all of my musical influences into my own electronic style.
New to Electronic Composition.
