I meant Trap base as in, the structure and rhythm is "based" on trap and then incorporate Neurofunk inspired synths for lead and such. I dunno man, I thought it was pretty straight forward. That's what people on DOA call it. That's what people on IDM forums call it. Its a pretty specific sound.

Neurofunk processing for synths is one of the most complex and tedious to do. If you watched any BSE or Noisia tutorials you would know it has very little to do with preset jocking.

I think the Neurohop thing came about because it usually has a different musical "intent" than "trap" type stuff and the MC'ing + lyrics are radically different than Trap/Dirty South, so there is a distinction between the two. I mean listen to that DOPE DOD track and then listen to some Rick Ross type stuff and you will see the difference instantly. The vocals are much more aggressive in delivery kind of like older Hip Hop.

That sounds more like grime or Dubstep than trap or anything Neurofunk no? (talking about the remix you posted, not the original).

Just as a side note Neurofunk has been around since 1998.. so I dunno if that statement is accurate.

that carvar and clock tune was sick until i realised the whole bassline was straight up taken from a reese pack. i use reese packs all the time, at least process it so it doesnt sound exactly the same.
