when amish kids turn 16 they get to leave the community for a year to see what life is like on the outside and decide whether they want to stay.

the way it is set up though, the kids have no practical skills to survive in society and a lot of them get strung out on drugs or hit rock bottom in other ways

Allen & Heath Xone 42
Ecler NUO 4.0

The only real difference I can see is the Allen and Heath has filters, which I wouldn't really use anyway and a £144 price difference in favor of the Ecler.

Anyone got experience with either mixer, or know of any other 4 channel analog mixers?

Yeah the Ecler has a wider mid EQ I think.

I have had both Ecler and A+H mixers, both amazing mixers so you are gonna be all good either way.
Are you sure you wouldn't use the filters? the filters really are so good, whole new dimension to EQ'ing and blends, rather than just obvious 'effects'. with the resonance turned right down its amazing for subtle and blended cutting out of bass, mids or highs really can't recommend them enough. Build quality on both is equally amazing as is the sound quality. xFader is better on the Ecler, tighter cut in point if you ever want to scratch and they are designed to last 'forever', didnt notice any degratation on my ecler xfader over the course of 4 years. I'd say overall though (mainly cos of filters) that the A+H is the better mixer (also worth bearing in mind its a common choice for clubs so you will be readily used to it when playing out) but depends whether u could justify the price jump

Thanks Murky! Some really useful advice there. I'll take a bit of time and mull over my decision, should probably have a go at mixing with filters, I might really love it!

this is what i use. couldnt ask for more in a mixer really. there isnt much in terms of FX but i just use a kaoss pad.
