Yeah, you'd think it'd be fairly difficult to be a top-level footballer and be racist.. he must have to socialise with people of all sorts of ethnicities all the time. You'd think Cole, Malouda, Essien or Adebayor or whoever would've noticed by now if their captain was prejudiced against them.

I'm not sure he ever could've been found guilty at this trial though. Context is almost impossible to define - his defense wasn't exactly watertight, but it was more than good enough to get "reasonable doubt". Especially seeing as Ferdinand didn't complain to the referee at the time.

What a massive waste of time and money.

I have mixed feelings about borini, on one hand he did score 10 goals in 17 games, but on the other hand he only played 17 games, and Serie a is nothing like the prem

He's still young and decent value, alongside having been with Rodgers at Chelsea and Swansea I'm happy enough with him.

We need a lot more still.

Sounds like you're after Walcott instead. Not sure what he'd gain by moving to Liverpool...

Tbh if liverpool got any winger at this point I'd be happy... On a separate note. Looks like I'm going to the Liverpool v Roma match at Fenway next week :corndance:

More football I'd guess though I'm not sure he's what we need.

I'm not sure how much a winger as such is going to figure in our plans if we're looking to play a front three and we're getting shut of Carroll. I'd like a ball carrier of sorts but am not sure an out an out winger is the answer.

Why not? Have borini behind Suarez upfront, Gerard and either Leiva or Adam along side, then who on the wings? Bellamy ? Maxi and kuyt are gone who's gonna replace them?

I don't think we're lining up like that, Rodgers is a fan of 433 which means you need ball carriers rather than out and out wingers. We're getting shut of Carroll so I doubt we'll be looking to get it wide and launch it into the box.

Ledley King has retired - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18902734

Now all we need is for Spurs to sell Modric and Bale...
