lol how? It's completely valid if you focus on one area of something. If a shop only sells dub music, then how would calling themselves a specialist record shop be elitist?

Just call yourself a dub music shop then? Or minimal techno shop. I get what you're saying, but using specialist just sounds pretentious imo (my bad for using elitist instead of pretentious).
