One of my favorite rappers and producers.
Re: What Hip Hop Song are you listening to?
This beat is stupidly good
Vinnie goes ridiculous as per.
I'm starting to think Vinnie is one of the best rappers of all time. Dude has been going for so long and still delivers so hard.

Re: What Hip Hop Song are you listening to?
may I ask why everyone considers kendricks verse so insane?
not saying it isn't good..
I just don't really get the hype surrounding most rappers (lamar/rocky/joey/etc)

All about the delivery. Haven't heard such fire since Canibus in his prime.mIrReN wrote:may I ask why everyone considers kendricks verse so insane?

Kendricks controversial verse seems to be igniting the hip hop world with some good old battle raps. Just what is needed.

Hip Hop has and always will be about the battle. It's never been about kissing arse, it's about proving who's best. If you can't respect that then you don't like Hip Hop.mIrReN wrote:sooo no thought out lyrics but just kill him bitches all over again...yeah it really needs that

I'm hoping everyone gets involved, a real exciting week for Hip Hop. Eagerly awaiting the next man to the mic.epochalypso wrote:good response from joell

I'm enjoying Lupe's responses for other rappers, the 2 Chains one is genius.

So far I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping mainstream/popular rappers like Tyler,Rocky,Drake,Jcole,Sean would up their game and reply, as their the ones who need to.baron_von_carlton wrote:I'm hoping everyone gets involved, a real exciting week for Hip Hop. I think they will, it's just a matter of getting it right. They don't want to embarrass themselves.Soulstep wrote:So far I'm a bit disappointed. Re: What Hip Hop Song are you listening to?
I love me some Kendrick, but after getting all the hype before hearing the tune I was a little bit underwhelmed. It is good to hear someone coming out that HARD with that level of lyricism, but it's hardly a diss if you put all the caveats around it that he did. He's just giving the game a friendly kick up the arse.
If it spawns some genuinely competitive rapping, it can't be a bad thing. The lowest common denominator shit dominating the game has had its day... and an extra couple of weeks...
