He makes some of the biggest tunes and gets slagged of for a few ropey mixes at raves playin to 1000 people/children who are out of their heads on plant food???

If you wanna see some tnuc play other peoples tunes all night then look up Comedy Dave from radio 1

Get a fuckin grip, surely the older dnb heads will remember Brockie. You didn't go to see his mixing or Det's jabbering, it was all about the huge dubs he had

All you /b/ summerfags, TITS OR GTFO N****R

I have witnessed Skream & Benga wasted playing a set together at Nocturnal Festival in California. between Skream & Benga, Benga was wasted. he kept fucking up track after track for at least a good ten minutes, but skream seemed to keep the two going on threw their set. I dunno, it doesnt really matter if they are on key every single time, they're human for god's sake!

yeah i was at nocturnal last year

skream and benga killed it for the most part, in fact it was the soundboard that was fucking up. and the needles on the decks kept skipping and fucking up. wasn't their fault really

I've been b2b with someone who dropped their phone on the deck after finishing a call while playing at their own b'day party, so skream clanging a bit is minor

Don't worry, you are not getting named (for now anyway) :D

Haven't read the whole thread properly but do have some stuff to say.
Saw Skream play about 4 times and noticed a real change in his sets over the years. Both in mixing and selection. Saw him play once in 2008 and he absolutely smashed it, big mixing, tight and varied selection.
Now also saw him playing couple of times in '09 and '10 and tbh both times I was really disappointed. I have a lot of respect for someone like Skream for really being at the forefront of a scene and being one of the creators of the sound as it is today, but I think that someone is payed so much to play some records to people should have the responsibility to do it sober. I don't care how drunk he gets afterwards his set, that's his business. But, as I see it, Skream makes a living out of DJ'ing, so it's his job. I can't imagine anyone else getting his salary being forgiven for being waisted at work all the time..
Just my 2 cents.

BUT he was meant to play a set with benga at concorde2 last october and the bum didnt even turn up benga had to apologise for the no-show. I think Skream's an amazing producer.....im not gonna say anything against that, the man just cant handle his drink lol, he dissapoints a lot of people who pay GOOD money to see HIM. what a lightweight.
lol how do you know if he cant handle his drink tho?

you dont even know how much the man drinks, if he has had 2-3 bottles to himself and is a bit worse for wear then thats as is expected. you cant call him a lightweight for that.

hankerins wrote:This weekend I went to HARD NYC M.I.A. which, for the most part, was awesome - 12th Planet in particular killed it. The one big disappointment though was Skream with Benga. I only caught the second half of their set, but the hypeman was totally distracting, they kept killing songs at the worst possible moments, and there were big stretches of silence between songs.

Later during 12th Planet's set, Skream went up on stage and started fucking with his records, ruining the vibe for everyone and laughing like the audience hadn't paid good money to be there. I was generally disappointed because I love Skream's music but all night he looked like he didn't give a fuck about entertaining fans, just being a troll. Did I just catch him on a bad night or is he usually a terrible performer?

I jus wrote on another thread how skream's mixing has imprvoed and he keeps his sets varied. Be good to see what he is like abroad. Who was the hypeman did they have dreadlocks.

Benga is better playing by himself i feel. 12th Planet is a top DJ and producer. is this set available to download.

Jesus - who'd of thought that stating what I've seen would strike up such a fuss. If it means that much to you, I'll lie and say he's the bestestestestestest DJ I've ever seen. Flawless mixing every time

Fucking man up.
Mate you have seriously misinterpreted what i was saying. I didn't say he is a good or bad DJ and when did i ever say i was annoyed about what you said and that you should be nice to Skream by saying he is amazing? Never.

I am not a fanboy and am not sticking up for him at all, i am literally saying don't state something then once you get a reaction from the DJ, retract your statement!

Kinda unprofessional but when you're all mates I suppose it's hard NOT to muck about just a bit..
Ya.. all of us have known each other MAD long, so it was pure horsing aroung. Let me tell you, I was on that stage and it made me SO proud to see folks I've been friends with, worked with over the years and we're all doing our thing, and doing it big. From the djs, to management, to agents, we were all on that stage, and we're all tight.
yeah but who are you tho fam??

hes said it before.. dubstep fans dont want a proffessional they want someone who is like them.. and skream is just normal i guess.. nothing wrong with having jokes, he might do a few reloads but thats what the culture entails
