Burial's original mix of U Hurt Me... Blackdown called it the "summery 2step" version. It's so good. Can't it be released?

i think this is well true man, as soon as a tune gets released every dj starts playin it. but these tunes hav already bin smashed by the big djs on dubplate/cd from long time so when they DO come out there alredy old.

its kinda catch 22 because the tune needs time to get heard but it also can become stale. its a fine line - i can see why so many poeple say keep music fun!

Good to know someone else remembers this one. :D It's an incredible contrast to his other work, but the You Hurt Me sample is a bit out of place in this version.

That other Benga and Coki bit that never got released. Not sure if it's WW7 or not.

yeah I remember both of them. I'd love to find some audio for the benga and coki one, I remember it being fire! I remember Benga saying they did quite alot of producing together?

edit: didnt the coki and benga one have a kind of bassface vibe to it?

I thought that was just a Benga tune, from his album Newstep, with vocals put on top? I'm thinking of a different tune?

Speaking of tunes with vocals, what happened to that Haunted version with the lyrics "give me the weed, oh ganja weed" on it?

i know the tune you're on about dubloke.. unfortunately it didn't blow up like Night did. I dug it out of my old rinse shows, skream plays it in his Feb 21 07 rinse show at 1:08 in. thanks for the reminder, awesome tune!

btw the Newstep track is actually benga and coki, then clouds added the vocal I think? that was a loooong time ago..
