I'm travelling alone from Canada. Decided to volunteer at the fest 'cause I figured it'd be the easiest way to meet some people. Getting in for free is nice, too.alkemisten2 wrote:Anyone else outside UK going alone there?
Can anyone tell me what kind of currency I should bring? I know I'd need Croatian currency if I'm venturing into the city, but should I have pounds for on-site, or do the vendors at the festival run off kunas as well?
Thanks!

Edit: Nevermind, looks like that was answered earlier.

First time going? Are you camping?

She did say we are guaranteed to have a flat in Valbandon, so hopefully *fingers crossed*, everything should be ok.

if anyone knows anyone who needs a ticket, please let me know! got one for sale and can arrange to transfer it to your/his/her/whoever's name via leeds tickets.
only asking face value unless someone gives me an offer i can't refuse.
on a related note, anyone know of any hostel spots up for grabs, or anyone who's looking for a flatshare to save money? going the solo route and reaaaally not keen on camping alone...

Re: OUTLOOK FESTIVAL 2011 INFO
Easiest is just to draw cash on your bank card when you get there. Either from the cash machine on site, or one in Pula town.acronym wrote:alkemisten2 wrote: Can anyone tell me what kind of currency I should bring? Re: OUTLOOK FESTIVAL 2011 INFO
That charges extra interest on your card for being abroad, surely? I'd say £300+ will be sufficient. Went last year and drove to Pula from the UK and it was plentiful.chico_red wrote:acronym wrote: Easiest is just to draw cash on your bank card when you get there. Re: OUTLOOK FESTIVAL 2011 INFO
I'm assuming he means £300 in Kuna. Which would be 2,551 Kune.
Yea, I'm taking the same amount. Although last year I took £150 and I did OK.

So is everything Euro or Kuna?

Re: OUTLOOK FESTIVAL 2011 INFO
Croatia is Kuna. For the festival its self you'll generally exchange a fair bit of your chedder for the tokens for beer and food. Boat parties you have to bring kuna on
Its still 2006
