Yeah I asked too, check page 4 for some recommendations. I'm leaning towards one of the midrange GeForce GTX series like Electric Head mentioned (thanks). I notice loads of games are catered towards nVidia cards and I've always had good experiences with them. Read some reviews and benchmarks and they hold up quite well.

You mentioned one too, but I guess that's no longer an option.

GTX 550 TI is a very good card IMO.
I have a sandybridge i5 3.5.
I am able to run any game on full specs with many enhancements added.

playing solo quickly turns you into a bandit.
playing in a group of friends, silently moving between villages and army bases scavenging for parts, quickly turns you into a bandit-killing-machine.

The 550 supports SLI. Not sure about the 550/570, but higher numbers don't always mean better. Sometimes it's just overclocked a bit, or one of them is underclocked for cheaper price.

Check previous months too as you can usually get a high end card from 6 months ago or so that is now on large discount.

i've played in groups, i really wanna get a nice lil clan together
have a couple people posted up watching place sniping and a couple runners getting what's needed
but i did have fun this morning camping a tower in elektro and sniping everyone who came in sight

also sli/crossfire tends to be garbage and you're usually better off getting a new single gpu

you need to upgrade your graphics card. I have an ATI Radeon 6870 which is about 140 quid but really good for the money.
check that "best graphics cards for the money" link above.
edit: my card is in that list, I would REALLY recommend it.

well the 6870 was designed as a direct replacement of the 5770, and the 6870 is capable of small overclocks if you get one with good cooling.
really good card, look at some reviews/data on it if you're going to upgrade.

play the tutorials to get a hang for the inventory, as far as finding shit... you have to know where to look, or just kill people and loot em
was just on for a quick 30-40 min session
popped one guy in his head for his winchester (he also had a compass i think)
then headed to the airfield and got the drop on a guy camping for bandits, killed him and did a quick loot run, now i'm fully decked out with everything but the best backpack, a flashlight or nvgs, gps and i'd really rather have a high end sniper rifle rather than the m16a2 m203, but it'll do for now and off into the wilderness i went
oh and i have enough medical and duplicate tools to outfit a friend to even if we do get messed up

lol deadly, have you been killed since then?

I hope they add some kind of stashes like STALKER where you can hide and keep loot, and place a GPS beacon to find it later. I love that. Also if you search some dead bodies, maybe the first person to find the body gets the coordinates to their stash.

Yeah I noticed that later after reading through the suggestions forum. It seems they actually add some requests, good to know. A lot of devs totally ignore the users.
