Cyrusfx, you are aware that dubstep's been evolving constantly into many, many other things besides brostep, right? And that a lot of people on this forum listen to all different kinds of it, and electronic music in general? You act like everyone here only listens to 2005 shit, when there's clearly a lot of appreciation for post-dubstep, the Hessle and Swamp 81 sounds, the rollers that Youngsta's been pushin lately, Silkie and Swindle's sound, etc. Don't try to tell us we're all narrow minded about dubstep or music in general.

There is a core element of people who can't stand the idea of dubstep changing, but thats mainly because they've grown an emotional association with the dubstepforum and the root elements of the sound. cyrus you just earned -10 respect points. wtf does the genre being 6 years "old" have to do with us having to move on? why would i want to when its the genre i love? its not going anywhere and there are producers that still are creating all sorts of sounds not just brostep.

ps: we should change this thread into a benga youtube link hall of fame, because i have yet to stumble upon a benga song i actually really liked as awful as that sounds. that said i have never explored his tunes, im sure there are some good ones out there

his pre-2006 or so stuff is really the only shit that does it for me. not even stuff like afro warrior. night's probably the only tune i really enjoy

I don't get why you guys are acting like you are losing sleep over this. It's not like Benga has been producing tunes that are really good in the past 2 years anyways. Honestly the only tunes I really like from him is B4 the dual and Skank. Other than that I really don't care if he doesn't want to make dubstep anymore. Can't really get uspet about this. The man has made some of the best tunes in dubstep, and he deserves a lot of love for that. What he is making now isn't dubstep, and to be honest i don't think his image can handle him going back to diary of an afro warrior. Leave him be, respect him and go back to the studio and try and recreate what you believe the scene is missing now. Bless

That being said acid lie and faithless were really big tunes, but i don't think he made as much money off of that as he did making katy b and youngman shit... And that just might be reason why he doesn't do that anymore.
