I bet on Benzema to score 2 or more and France -1 so those came in.. up to £58 from £2.50 now! Had Switzerland, France -1 and Argentina -1 as well so need them to win by 2 goals or more and thats another £18.

I drunkenly stuck £8 on Rooney MOTM yday, what a fucking waste.

Nice to see Bony on the score sheet yesterday, shame it was just the 1.

edit; Argies 1-0 already!! Hope Di Maria has a good game.

French looked very good at times, but Honduras were shocking and their tackling even worse. Poorest team so far.

Really happy about Benzema's performance for France. Honduras were playing like Ivory Coast were in the last WC.

I'm actually hoping that Bosnia get something from this game though.

Argentina's playing quite bad... Their way of playing doesn't make any sense.

They looked good for about twenty minutes of the game... but apart from that nothing to shout about. I think they were taking it (a bit too) easy after the early goal. More to come...

I think Bosnia were quite sick tbh. Think I might back them, I know they won't win but neither will England tbf.

Not sure there's much quality in that Bosnia side, just a lot of hard work. They might get out of the group still, Nigeria arn't great

Massively looking forward to Germany/Portugal tonight... I'm only going to make it home in time for the 2nd half though. :(

Imo, Hard work is a prerequisite for quality. I recognize that they aren't technically brilliant, but a team with their ethic will only get better. Again, definitely won't win but I reckon they'll be inspiring to watch.

Looking at all of the squads before the tournament, I was most impressed by Germany. Would really like to see Portugal get something from this game but I think they will have problems if they expect Ronaldo to do everything for them and I'll be annoyed if their tactical approach is just to get Pepe repeatedly attempting to lob the ball up to him for 90 minutes. He looked so frustrated during the CL final and seemed completely fed up in the build up to Marcelo's goal. Marcelo gave him the ball and he immediately passed it back as if to say he didn't want any further part in the game. Will definitely be an interesting game though.

Germany are fairly weak actually. No striker bar Klose (who is 35), no Reus who is injured and Mertesacker at the back who is like a snail (although good in the air)

Yep. I used to watch off and on whenever I had cable television, but I don't have cable anymore so I have to either pirate matches or find a live stream website. I plan on following the premier league this upcoming season.

Muller was joint top scorer last World Cup. Plenty of skill at the back and in the front, Goetze, Ozil, Lahm, Boateng...
