holy shit, just heard the clips on boomkat. totally speechless. chills went down my spine listening to this stuff. i was always worried burial would succumb to the hype machine and follow up with a stinker (if anything at all). no way. the new material sounds instantly classic and maybe even better than the debut LP, going in directions that his first album only hinted at. sooo much soul in these tunes. amazing. can't wait another day. need this album now!!!

Agreed. It's hard to appreciate production of this level with just the samples on boomkat.com, especially with the obscenely delicious vocal production flourishes, but it's not hard to tell that it's going to sound fucking epic on the full release.

edit: okay i've officially listened to the 'archangel' sample roughly twelve million times now. i NEED this track for the XM show :)

Archangel sticks in your head so quickly...

Wasn't wowed by the other two clips but then Burial tunes tend to grow on me. Latest thing to have finally clicked in my head as being amazing is 'Ghost Hardware', which now I must buy.

My plan - other than raves, I will not listen to this until it's in my hands, at night time, with all the appropriate materials fully prepared and ready to go. Who's with me?
im with u, havent listened to it yet so ill bide my time and wait til i can hear it properly
I'm not having a go at yous or anything, but if Kode 9 does a wee mix for Mary Anne like he did with the first album then will you listen to that?

Archangel sounds lovely, but it didnt grab me as much as 'Near Dark' did, love what he has done with that 'I cant take my eyes off you girl' sample.
sublime stuff. I cant put into words how much I love this shizzle. Incredible stuff

badboy digger
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

I hope there's a tune on the album that samples the Casualty theme tune

Eight years in the business I've never looked forward to an album as much as I have this. Today a few promos arrived. One word... powerful
