are you who i think you are? if so big upDoctorKinetic wrote:Thought i'd make my first post- been checking the forum over the past few days at work (you know how it is!) and thought i should say something.
Similar background to most probably garage early days, drum and bass, then found the Dubstep...
I've been mixing for prob 8yrs- haven't bought anything except Dubstep for months and recently trying my hand at 140bpms- loving the freedom to experiment.

spinning the wheels with DnB tunes for some years. got in touch with the dubstep thing over some grime tunes a couple of months ago... mixing dubstep and collecting tunes since then. love the bass, feeling the vibe and reping the scene as a DJ in my city now... trying to get in touch with the buttons.

EZ all,
another convert from D+B, ex keenfm and still with Aural Impact on German airwaves, but now into the Dubstep sound. Cant say im particularly knowledgable but listening to more all the time and seeing whats what.
I know its being said over and over, but Dubstep now seems to have everything D+B doesnt, all I listen to at the moment.
Other than that, London based, nice to be here!

Aloha from Berlin,
no dnb convert. Usually listening to a well-balanced mix of jazz and grind, acid and noise, doom and dub. Discovered dubstep in late 2004 during a one-year stay in the O-dot, Canada and got hooked immediately. Came back to indie-rock-and-minimal-techno-infected Berlin to find that in the meantime a decent grime 'scene' had developed, no dubstep though. Which has changed by now, luckily. We got like three or four raves in June alone. Only 10 days to go till we got Pinch in da house. Can't wait any longer...
rock over london, rock on chicago.

hello!
I am from Seattle Washington USA. Been playing and throwing dnb events for the past 10 years. I found dubstep last summer at the Burningman festival and have been stuck on it since.
DnB has been stale to me for awhile now and thank GOD something new came along.
After working at Platinum Records for the past 10 years, I now work for Rane (Mixers/Scratch Live) as tech support and am all about helping my company take things to the next level.
I'm now strictly digital downloading for obvious reasons and am really excited to link up with other dubstep heads around the world and make some ill shit.
Check out my myspace page for a bit more info on me or the production section of this forum for some of my dubstep tracks.

HELLO!!!
I'm Lawrence, from Brighton, and I really really love music! I'm into abit of everything from early church music (like Hildergard Von Bingen) to breakcore...
I'm very fortunate in having a career in the industry, doing sound engineering, running a soundsystem and promoting nights. I've been vaguely into Dubstep for quite a while, but never heard it out until fairly recently when I started doing the sound for the "Dub Pressure" night in Brighton, and f#+k me does it give the bassbins a good work-out! Infact there is nothing else that I've put through my rig that makes it able to produce such mammoth spls at low frequencies, love it!! Something to do with all that juicy undistorted bass program and not much on top...
Thats me for now, maybe see you down at Dub Pressure..
Cheers!

whats up. My name's Shaun and I'm from Seattle. Been into drum and bass for some years and finally found the correct name for the new sound im loving. Cant get enough dubstep, so thank you to the people that hold it down. This niche seems special and im happy to support it to the fullest. Im not a dnb/dubstep DJ or producer, never was, and never will be. Just an addict ready to push the sound and enjoy it. See ya around
