Come September my department is being outsourced to someone other third party company, training to get into the IT field before this happens, but if that doesn't work would anyone here know the usual outcomes of being outsourced?
Pay cuts often. Tightening of the belt since the pie is getting cut three ways. At least, that's what happened to me a while back.

We got outsourced today too, that's kinda funny in a really depressing, crushing non-funny way.
Fucking mondays. Good thing it was such a shitty job anyway.

Mucho cost savings...I can get 6 headcount in India for the same price as a single headcount in Europe
But from an employee point of view...it can suck. You can take the 'outsourced' job but often with a reduction in salary as there is any extra layer to filter the cashish down through.
On the plus side, have finished all my performance review stuff ahead of schedule for the quarter, so now get to sit back and wait until I get the bonus letter confirmations through. Thinking a new computer might finally be in order.

Fair comment
It's spent the last few days raining and I have a hole in my shoe. Not impressed.
Spent the morning watching videos on here -

Some quality live jam set stuff with Octatracks etc.
