ive heard the DMC fighting system is over simplified compared to past games (not that you can really compare this to the rest of the franchise)

The fighting system in the first 3 feels so clunky now, and everything about dmc4 was pure generic

I would say streamlined and not over simplified, everything makes sense, each button has an action that's modified by the trigger buttons and everything can be chained together. It's still hard to get into the right flow and combating multiple classes of enemy. It's not Vanquish levels of insanity and bizarre fight styles, but it's a solid melee fight em up.

Haha well it's not due until next year, but if it looks anything like 2, with improvements and what they want to do on their new engine, I think it's time to upgrade your gfx card.
They're hinting it may come for next gen consoles as well, never had a chance to play the 360 port compared to PC of 2, but I heard they did a damn good job, but my god The Witcher 2 is still one of the most gorgeous games graphics wise available for PC.
Gonna have to go out and snag this issue of Game Informer.

This is a good game and I commend your playing it again.

I dl'd it with the intention of playing it not too long ago, unfortunately I forgot the fact that my comp has all the processing skill of a fucking potato.

Yeah man, it'll lose at least 15 off the price in a couple of months. It's SP only as well, so you won't be missing busy lobbies or anything.

Semi screwing I didn't get it on PC, I simply didnt expect it to look as good as it does, woulda loved to play it in 3D (PS£ version isn't 3d).

I'd say wait for a sale on DmC, hell last holiday sale I got 4 for like 3 bucks on Green Man Gaming. Just keep your eyes peeled on http://savygamer.co.uk/ and other game sales alert sites.
It's quite different than the old games and the new Dante is far from likeable (this new Dante is trying to appeal to the edgy teenager market). I'd say try a demo out http://devilmaycrypc.wordpress.com/ (demo is there) first.
