It did feel like those occassions when random annoying pub twat tries a really obvious wind up and you sarcastically go really and then they spend the next half hour telling all and sundry how they got one over on you

i told asbo to come take the mic of him... was a bit of a joke.. i spoke to him and his mates after and he was like i am a techno boy.. i don't even like dubstep... and then there was my mates in the line.. not able to get in...

i think a few people mugged themself on that thread and ended up just giving them more ammo.

tbh if you didn't think the buff was a j/ker that you really are fucking stupid, and deserve all of their gloating. However the majority wanted to actually see him for the jokes, and those probably got what they wanted out of it.
