ahah, reminded me of this track:

you just perfectly described it. at some points the rhythm even sounds like a trainwrecked mix ahahah. awful

we will now get a flood of people buying/torrenting izotope ozone and trash just like they all switched to FM8 when skrillex mentioned he used that in an earlier interview lol. Oh and skrillex made nothing new with his scary monsters EP (hence how he says in the interview he was just trying to copy noisia, and failed). It was decent, but the minute deadmau5 posts it on his facebook and twitter it's automatically gaining millions of sheep followers who just like it because deadmau5 is behind it. that being said, nice interview he said a lot more than other producers do in those kinds of interviews and he seems like a decent guy

ohhhhhhhhhh. I see what you did there. You changed the original quote so it would say 'rate' instead of 'hate' so it would imply he's overrated. Man you are just about the most clever person I don't know. I hope you keep coming up with things like this, cuz I'm just havin' a ball over here watching you do your thang!

Cheap trick: Volume fade 1-2db before drop. Bring em' back up after the drop.

lol first this

then when you want to get even HARDER this

there are dodge and fuski masterclasses and a funtcase masterclass.... id recommend the Reso one too. These videos should help explain the brostep drop your kind of looking for.

Def start using the FULL FL studio instead of nerfed down ableton. a full daw is ALWAYS better than a intro DAW.

glad to see more people posting in his defense. seriously ppl who criticize and talk shit are just retarded to me

dude has taken what most/all of us here are going for (electronic music production) and totally skyrocketed from NOTHING to winning fucking grammy awards

you sit back on your computer and talk shit to make yourself feel better and try to put him down. meanwhile he is probably on a plane to play some insane show across the world for thousands of fans

First you want to get all your samples and basslines together. Make sure you have at least 3 Wobs, 2 Wompwumps, maybe 1 or 2 Screeeewaows, and as many Graorgerghhhs as you like. To make the drop heavy, you want to have complete silence before it, and maybe a clip of dialogue from your favourite Warner Brothers film. Then you unleash the bass-to-the-face drop by having all of your bass sounds playing at once for the first millisecond of the drop. Then you can go into arranging them however you like. By playing all of them at once very suddenly the volume and bassweight will be so overwhelming itll force your listeners into submission, which is basically the whole point of dub.
<keep it heavy>

Lol so many people in my local scene LOVED skrill when he came out but once hating on him became a fad, they all started to hate him. People are pathetic using music as an identity and not for yhe actual appreciation and hard work behind the music. I love skrillex. Always have and continue to support him and his movement even if the entire world decided to trend along the hate of his success

I'll just come out and say it - I love Skrillex. His music isn't my favorite anymore, but just his whole attitude towards what he does makes me respect him a lot.
And so many people hate on him for no reason. Whether or not you like his tunes, you can't deny that he's a talented producer.

i dont listen to skrillex anymore but iv probably been producing longer than he has & all i gota say is his mixdowns and self masters are pretty damn good.
he seriously has talent at that (for all the people thats said he's talentless in other threads) and he must be doing something right if he won a fucking grammy.. it doesnt matter how famous someone gets, i doubt you could earn something like that from JUST having a bunch of fans.
EDIT: just discovered hes won 3 grammys not 1 lol.
