@take2 haha ;nontheless ,your stuff is intense ,"ready to go personal" favorite but i dont think the melody is really needed in this context ,dont get me wrong, it is nice but somehow the filth gets lost a little bit

whats going on with all the people posting but not giving any feedback?... last few pages is full of em
Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
yo! thanks for the feedback dude, this is going to sound silly but what track were you referring too? only i've posted two in the last week and i've had comments on my sig track tootuckerlinen wrote: Nftfhx: Not the tune I thought was coming from the intro. A bit on the bro side for me but I have to admit I would love to hear this out. I’m a sucker for the trancy sort of brostep. It is fun, I’ll give you that. I’d make that trance arp more pronounced and way more low end.

if you can let me know i'll get onto those things, thanks!:D

This thread is getting super long, and I've only just joined so I am trying to go back and give comments/input retroactively. We might want to consider splitting it up by month so it's easier to find things that are newerwizeguy wrote:whats going on with all the people posting but not giving any feedback?... last few pages is full of em

...and with that, like the little 5th element sample there. Percussion chunky, and it's funny, I used to hate snares sounding all overcompressed and having all the dynamics drilled out of them, but in this instance it workstake2 wrote:thanks bud. all these i have are literally worked on then gives me other ideas for another so i start that lol . i must go back and finish some of these

Loving the downtempo feel on the track in your sig, definitely a late night working/listening type thing. Really enjoying the drawn out sine pads and the side chaining. Only suggestion I'd make is look for a little variation in the hat pattern and perhaps draw it down a little in the mix. You could try panning parts of it out to give you more variety. Like the little bass-slide down at the end of bars too, lovely little touch.wizeguy wrote:whats going on with all the people posting but not giving any feedback?... last few pages is full of em

@nftfhx- It’s the one that started with the dark vibes and that chick talking then got really intense with little 4 note trancy sounding bits. 30-mil remix. I’m listening to it again and the drums sound pretty good. Make room for them by hollowing out some of that midrange and add some sub.
Girlstep: leave some feedback on the tunes of others. Are you gating your main synth? The one you use in the intro—if so I would up the wetness or whatever. More gating. The main melody is good but repetitive. Put some accidentals in or phase it or something. You’ll know if it works. I liked it, I did. As with most everyone else, you’re losing your drums to those synths in the middle and lower freqs. They sound good but they’re drowning the drums. Leave feedback.
Take2: I couldn’t get into the first three. Put those down to practice instead of wips. It’s the only way to get better but I really couldn’t pick up on any interesting ideas there. The fourth one I liked the most, especially the beginning. Not really my bag but what you are doing with the sub is cool. Remember that the drums are an essential part of dubstep. Don’t neglect them.
Mplz: bit of a mt edeny vibe. Ok. I was about to go off then it stopped! Not really much going on to comment on. I liked it but it really was just ambient bassy stuff and vocals (which I would pitch down and reverb but that’s just cause I like burial’s vocals so much). Maybe the link was broken or something but I would really like to hear the rest of the track.

there is a sub there infact i'm sure someone else said the low end was too much so maybe i'll have to check it out on some other systems but still, thanks though:)

could be me, I wasn't exactly blasting it cause of the roomies especially since you never know what you're going to get as far as wips go. looking forward to hearing more.

screw em, if they dont leave feedback, dont even mention it, just bypass that track and they will learn eventually.
thrilla- feels like the dblue glitch is too over used man, but you got a pretty good vibe going on. feels like sometimes your kick gets a little lost, maybe cause the synth is so high, turn it down a tad. when it dropped i wasn't expecting that, talking bass these days are way to common. kinda put me off the whole feel. intro and that dont really go together
bevoh- honestly feels like its too happy to be the style your going for. also go check out the thread i made and grab the sample pack and breaks, some quality samples in there man, will really give you a helping hand. samples are half the battle, you can barely hear your perc.
mexican kangaroo- i really like your intro, love the break. always gets my pantaloones wet. fucking NICE, drop, neurofunkness man. i love it. i dont know what your on about, that is pretty sweet. but we are always our own worst critic. not to keen on the second build. love the sound you added on the second drop though man, killer work. continue that

haha for anyone has heard my other songs, be prepared this is a little different then my normality. so bear with me and give me some honest feedback.

I don't have any WIPs I'm really interested in sharing, but I would like to leave feedback on the random one I happened to listen to on this page
@Maples (mplz) I absolutely loved this intro! It gave me a beautiful, sad (yet hopeful, almost uplifting) feeling inside while I gave it a listen-through. Definitely keep working on this one, because it sounds near-perfect and versatile. You could seriously use it as the intro for many different styles and it would still fit quite nicely. As far as the vocals go, I think maybe you could mess with them a bit to make them mesh properly. Like perhaps using a version of them an octave down near the beginning of the intro (maybe after the introduction of the reverbed high vocals around 15s), then pitching up to what you have as an almost call-return type thing. You could go absolutely nuts with the 'answer' portion (beat repeats, new melodies through vocal chops and melodyne, panning etc), but that's just my $0.02. Either way, sounds beautiful as is, much love on this one!

sorry if i seem like a noob here, but what's dblue glitch? and yea, i mean i keep getting mixed feedback. some people like the drop, and some aren't feeling it. IDK how to please everybody! hahaoprs wrote: thrilla- feels like the dblue glitch is too over used man, but you got a pretty good vibe going on. feels like sometimes your kick gets a little lost, maybe cause the synth is so high, turn it down a tad. when it dropped i wasn't expecting that, talking bass these days are way to common. kinda put me off the whole feel. intro and that dont really go together
