ive been using homeopathy pretty much my entire life, never had ay problems
obviously went to doctors for broke bones and times when id need stiches
so whenever ive been ill and taken homeopathy and gotten better, its been in my head? bolllocks

even if it had, thats proof enough that you dont need conventional drugs and medicine to survive
everything in that video is out of context, and most of it lies, its just designed to further discredit homeopathy which is an ongoing effort
and the sad thing is all the dumb fucks of uk who saw it probably believe it but dont care enough to try it for themselves

If it makes you happy by all means do it, you're not harming anyone. I'm not calling you crazy or anything.

But bear in mind the body fixes itself, and connecting getting better to something you do/take before returning to the mean can make people think that that action was the cause of cure. Much like people think cough medicine makes them better or paracetomol etc.

It's called the placebo effect, if you do something thinking x will happen then your mind and body will push it along. It's an insanely interesting thing to read about and shockingly powerful.

Even the colour of pills can increase effect, and pill packaging etc.

Check this (BBC Radio 4 Show on Placebo) - http://www.badscience.net/files/Placebo%20BBC%20Radio%204%20Ben%20Goldacre%20-%20Part%202.mp3

i know what the placebo effect is, and its attached to homeopathy by people who dont understand homeopathy.
seeing as it works on animals, witnessed myself, how can placebo have anything to do with it, as the animal is not aware you have put homeopathic remedies into its food
homeopathy is all about energy not pills

The majority of ppl on this thread wld agree it's an established view thats antioxidants eliminate free radicals from your body and the most antioxidants are in fresh fruit and veg (among other foods mentioned on this thread)...unless you can prove otherwise with a credible source.

(Also allow the rumours and 'I heard that..')

This is gunnin anyone personally just tryna keep the knowledge flowing
another one that makes a habit out of answering without reading the posts
our mate DRTY provided something i can believe in, parson provided scrap and then you come here to talk about credible sources one line after your credible source is "an established view" agreed on by the majority here?! another established view is we were created by the gods in the skies or that shit americans play by hand should be called football, if i hate something that's "established views"
so better be up to your own words if you have an opinion and provide. something that would counterbalance DRTY's link if you think antioxidants are good

established views... pfff

i have a hunch homeopathy is exactly middle way between your opinions
an "established view" for some people is the brain is the main healer. but since we're all energy, introducing a certain energy vibration in your body in form of medicine (homeopathic or not) should also contribute a lot. in my view, homeopathic remedies are just cleaner energy, while pharmaceuticals are fucking dirty most of the time.
but that's just a hunch as i don't have more to offer, since no one could provide me infallible arguments on the topic
won't hurt to consider it though i guess

Personally, I say. Eat a wide variety of food. Try and include fruit and veg. Avoid sitting on your arse all day.

That's all you need :)

i've slipped a bit of late and am hoping to allieviate stress a bit by getting back onto eating wholesome good food...

tonight i am eating a bowl of mussels and a 2 baked potatoes....

with this vid on meditation parson/alien pimp posted i am wondering about that too....is there a right sort of food to be eating if you wished to meditate?
When i was vegan i found it easier to meditate cause my body wasnt spending so energy on digesting food. And of course if you eat healthily the mind is clearer and functions better, so naturally when it comes to things like focusing and mental alertness diet will play a central role.

Buddhist monks are vegan and Hindus are majority vegetarian, considering these two religions are centred around countries that have an ancient connection to meditation it is then plausible to assume that the theory that diet effects the mind and is important to a practioneer of meditation is not a new fad....its both logical, sensible and also hard to argue against.

Really? I would've thought vegans would spend more energy on digesting food. Given that we don't readily digest cellulose. Not a jibe or anything, just curious.

But back to the thread (not read the intervening 9 pages), you can't go wrong by eating wholesome good food. It's wholesome good food for a reason! I think eating a bit of everything is good for you, it's how our bodies were designed. Not too much of one thing or the other.

I knew a bunch of people at college who meditated regularly. They ate normal like everyone else. They'd probably been meditating since childhood though.

No, for sure,it takes a lot less energy to digest non-animal food stuffs and I know for sure because I ate everything from birth to 24 years old, then was vegetarian for 1 year, then vegan for four years and now back to vegetarian again in the last two months...so I can testify to what foods have what effect on your mind and energy levels. Thats not to say you cant be healthy unless you're vegan, I wholeheartedly agree with "everything in moderation" theory but I know for sure that a vegan diet combined with a wholesome diet left me feeling better than ever, not say I know it all, this is just my personal experience with different diets....
